Hermione awoke suddenly, her eyes in slits, exhaustion etched into her features.
Her hair was frazzled and there where large grey bags under her eyes, highlighting the sunken look in her eye sockets and cheeks bones.
She still wore the blue ball gown she had worn when they went out that night, her earrings and necklace cascaded scruffily against her skin. She had been there for days and days, refusing to do anything other than sit with him.
Hermione squeezed Draco's hand gently, caressing his cheek and kissing his forehead.
She brushed a few of his thin hairs here and there and hummed a light cheery song into his ear.
Ray waltzed in, a handsome suit clutching at his chiselled form, His hair up in a stylish quif that Draco had before, his shoes on a point, leaned up dashingly and sat down beside his ex lover, rubbing her back with ease."Darling, maybe you should get some rest, get something to eat so you can see him when he wakes up, yeah?"he asked, as she sat up slowly.
She gulped, nodding her head, and shakily got up, before bending back down to kiss Draco, and then took Ray by the arm, asking for assistance towards the cafeteria.
When they sat down at the table near the far back, Hermione closed her eyes, taking in a deep breath from the different atmosphere, and watched as Ray walked off, getting her something.
She looked out of the window, watching as the happy people walked on by, chatting merrily and laughing at the small problems they brushed off.
She huffed, Turning away, Ray walked over, handing her a Coffee, a bottle of water, a packet of salt and vinegar crips💖 and a tuna and cucumber sandwich.
"Eat up, Darling"he smiled, sitting across from her, and opening the packet of crisps for her.
Hermione gave a smile sad smile, and took out a crisp, munching in the end, slowly."How are you feeling?"he mused, sitting back, watching her eat.
"I'm ok.."Hermione replied, wiping nonexistent tears from her eyes.
"I'm not crying..."He sat up, smiling inside, but kept it inside.
"Maybe you're over it?"She gave him a disgusted look, eyebrows furrowed.
"How could I be over it?..."she whispered.
"My boyfriend is in a coma, when we are supposed to be on holiday together.."Ray sat straighter, his spine in a perfect vertical line, and coughed awkwardly, anger bubbling up to the surface at the use of "boyfriend" on Draco Malfoy.
"I didn't mean it like that Babes.. I just meant that, maybe you've just accepted the fact that it happened..?" That was a lie, he didn't mean that at all, he wanted her to be happy, even, and get over Draco.. if he could just kill him.. then he will comfort her so much, she'll love him again.
Hermione slouched, taking another pile of crisps from the packet, and looked away , lost in thought.
"Maybe I have accepted it..."she mumbled in a small voice.
Ray smirked, hiding it with his hands, and turned away, getting to his feet, and smiling down on her as she looked up.
"I'll go and check on him,"he turned, Hermione grabbed his wrist and pulled him back, she had all this strength and she hadn't been eating, drinking, or moving.
"Thank you,"she whispered, getting up and kissing his cheek.
He walked away, grinning stupidly and walked down the hall.
The plan was working.
