Chapter 4

Why was Alex here. It's been maybe an hour since we met. This was a really bad time for him to be here.

"Kira, what happened?"

"Some woman pushed me against a tree and I dislocated my shoulder."

I looked at Peter. He nodded.

"Alex, you stay here with Scarlet. Kira, Delila and I will go into the other room."

Peter and Del helped me into the living room and I sat on the sofa. Del extended her arms and her hands started to glow I could feel my arm slowly going back into place. I felt the pop and it hurt really bad as Del was healing the pain I heard Scarlet.

"You can't go in there."

"Why?"

"You just can't go in there."

"I'm worried for her. Why can't I just go in there?"

Del wasn't going to be able to finish healing my arm before he came in so peter just wrapped a cloth around my arm. Alex then pushed through the doorway.

"No, don't look!

"Don't look at what?"

Del and I chuckled at Scarlet who was just standing in front of Alex.

"Oh, ah. Never mind."

Scarlet started to laugh nervously.

"How's your arm?"

"It's fine. Thanks for your concern."

"Yeah, well."

"Hey, Peter, Delila. Why don't we go into the other room."

"But I want to get to know Alex more."

"Come Delila."

Peter grabbed Del's hand and they left the living room. Along with Scarlet. Alex then came and sat down by me on the sofa. I started to blush. I had never really talked to a boy or even sat by one. Well except Peter, but that's different.

"So, Kira. What really happened at the market after I left?"

"I told you. A woman pushed me and I hit a tree and dislocated my shoulder."

"That's not true, is it?"

I looked away getting annoyed that he didn't believe me.

"Here, give me your hand."

I started to blush even harder. Then I heard Scarlet fan girling around the corner. I looked out the doorway and saw Scarlet peeking around the corner. When she saw I was looking at her she backed up out of sight.

"It's nothing like what your friend is thinking."

"Then why do you want my hand?"

"I know you were trying to protect your sister earlier. Trying to hide that she's a twoblood, but when I shook her hand I could immediately tell she was a twoblood."

"I don't know what you're talking about."

I crossed my arms trying to make him believe me.

"Yes you do. I was able to tell she was a twoblood because I'm a twoblood as well."

I uncrossed my arms.

"You are? And your power is to know when someone else is a twoblood or fullblood."

"No, not exactly. Whenever I touch someone I either find out something about them or tell their future. Oh, by the way your uncle is planning a life changing surprise."

"When?!"

"I'm not that good yet. I can only tell one thing about a person at a time."

I put my hand on his and he closed his eyes. It took a minute before he said something.

"So that's what happened. A fullblood used their power on you and pushed you to the other side of the market and you hit a tree and dislocated your shoulder."

"Told you I wasn't lying. So hey, you want that cup a tea now?"

"Sure."

Alex and I went into the kitchen where Del, Peter and Scarlet was. I washed out a few cups because I wasn't going to forget Scarlet asking if she could join us. I washed out two then peter grabbed one off the top shelf that was already clean. He handed it to Alex. I poured some hot water into each of the cups. Alex put some tea and sugar in his and I did the same with Scarlet's and mine.

"Scarlet, do you still want some tea?"

"No I'm good."

"I'll take it Kira."

I handed the cup of tea to Peter. He, Del and Scarlet went into the living room. I don't know why everyone keeps leaving the room when Alex and I are here. Alex and I continued to drink our tea And get to know each other.
