Chapter 17

He began to run at me. I watched. He tried to throw a punch, but I dodged it. Before I could turn around, he kicked me to the ground. I was difencless. I looked at Alex, who was just lying on the ground. Aparently he had just been taken out of sight of me, but what did she do to him. He wasn't breathing. I then looked at Scarlet, who was lying on the ground, motionless. I looked up at Peter.

"This is where your little adventure ends."

He brought his hands together and was about to slam them down on me. I shut my eyes as tears poured down my face.

"No it's not!"

That voice. It... It was...

"Dad?"

I opened my eyes to see a man of silver standing in frount of me facing towards Peter.

"What the... I thought I got rid of you in that fire."

"You did, but I'm back to difend my little girl."

He turned his head and looked at me. I heard footsteps running my way from behind. I looked to see. Aunt Krisy running at me. She had her fist in a bundle. Dad was to busy with Peter to take care of her. I stood up and presumed a fighting position. She screamed and dove after me with a punch. I moved just before she could hit me, but she hit my arm. I covered my arm. It was just a little brused now.

I turned to see her right at me with the another punch. I put my arms over my face. After a few seconds. I looked up to see another figure, but this time it was a figure of gold.

"I don't think so," the figure said.

She turned to look at me. It was a kind gental smile on her face.

"Mom?"

She embraced me in a hug. She started to stoke my hair. She kissed my head.

"I'm sorry mom," I said through tears running down my face.

"For what?"

"I broke my promise. I told you I would protect Del, but I didn't."

"You did though. This is what was supposed to happen. This is how you are to defeat Peter, for what he has done. I wasn't the first Fullblood or twoblood he had killed."

I began crying more into her dress.

"Now come on. It's time to finnish them."

She gave me a reasuring smile. I smiled back and wiped the tears from my face.

Just then Peter went flying past mom and I. He stopped himself at Aunt Krisy and stood up. Dad walked up next to me and held a staff in his hand. Mom reached up and a staff appeared in her hands. I presumed a fighting position.

"Ready?" I shouted.

"Ready!" both mom and dad yelled.

We all ran at Peter and Aunt Krisy. While mom and dad faught Aunt Krisy, I stood face to face with Peter.

"You'll pay for all of this. I swear."

"Try me, little girl."

A flame started in my heart. I ran at Peter. I punched up to his chin then punched him in the gut, making him fly back. He coughed up some blood. He then stood back up.

"How did I do that?"

"Kira!" Mom shouted from behind me. "You're not just a human.... Your a fullblood."

My eyes widened. What did she mean?

"I'm not the only person in our family besides Del with power."

I just stared at her.

"Your father, he's also a fullblood."

I looked over to dad. He was still fighting Aunt Krisy not payin any attention. Mom's eyes went wide. Then she began running towards me. I watched her. She ran right past me and stopped behind me. I turned to see her holding her hands up. A shield was between us and Peter.

"Grab my staff."

I looked down at her staff that she had dropped when she had made the shield. I slowly nelt down and reached for the staff. I could feel power aluminaiting from it. I picked it up and felt power flowing into me. As that happened, the staff began to disinigrait.

I closed my eyes with the over welming power filling in me. I felt my feet leave the ground. I looked down to see that I was about five feet above the ground. I was also glowing gold.

"Kira!' My dad yelled. "Catch!"

He threw his staff at me too. I grabbed it and began to do the same thing that mom's staff did. This was too much power. I looked to see that now I was glowing silver, and gold.

"You have the power of eternal strength," mom said still holding up a shield.

"And with our staffs, you have the power to defeat them," dad said as he put a shield up too.

I looked at both Peter and Aunt Krisy. I looked down and closed my eyes. I looked inside myself and saw a bright blinding light. I took that light and pushed it too my hands. I opened my eyes. Light shot from my hands, my eyes. Everywhere. I was glowing. I could hear Aunt Ktisy and Peter screaming in pain. I kept pushing the power out as I started glowing brighter. Then everything fell to darkness.
