Brad's point of view:
It has been a few weeks since the accident and Hayley is still in hospital, she has been told that she should be ok to walk once her cast is off her leg but she needs to take it easy. I miss her being in music class, at the moment we are doing a project in pairs and I really wish I could be with Hayley, she always has good ideas. A new girl has joined our class and she seems nice but I haven't spoken to her and I don't really feel the need to, she is called Sophie and the other boys have spoken to her but I just don't want them to replace Hayley for Sophie.... Nobody can ever replace Hayley in my heart. I still haven't got much sleep since the accident and I haven't been eating properly, the boys keep saying that I look awful and depressed but I really couldn't care less, it just shows how much I care about Hayley."Hey, it's Brad isn't it?" I heard someone ask as I looked up from my lyric book to see Sophie standing by my table. "Yeah?" I replied and she smiled before taking a seat. "I'm Sophie." She replied. "I know." I bluntly replied and looked back down at my work, normally I wouldn't be horrible to people but I'm not in the mood, I have even been a bit horrible towards the boys recently even though they don't deserve it. "What's up with you?" She asked with a confused look on her face. "Nothing." I replied as I continued writing. "Yeah there is." She continued. "Why are you taking to me? You don't even know who I am?" I angrily replied and looked at her. "Sorry, I just thought I would say hi... You're friends seem nice so I thought you would be too." Sophie answered and I sighed as I saw James walk over. "I would just leave him alone, he is going through a hard time at the moment." James commented as he walked away with Sophie, I don't mean to be horrible but I really don't have time to be talking to new people.
End of Brad's point of view
4 weeks I have been in this hospital for, they keep saying I can go back to university soon but then they never let me go. I feel trapped and it's driving me insane to the point where I am being mean towards Brad because I have nobody else to let my frustration out to, I don't want to be mean to him but it kind of just happens. He has been so supportive and he has come here everyday after lessons to be with me so I'm not alone, he still kisses me and hugs me and tells me he loves me but I just feel like our relationship is pointless because I'm just slowing him down. Brad's mum has come to visit me a few times since the accident and she apologised so many times, she seems to feel quite bad as this is her fault but I just said that it's fine. There is nothing she can do about it now.
"Baby girl!" I heard Brad call as the doors opened and he walked into the room before sitting on the same chair he sits on everyday. "I got you some chocolate." He commented and passed it to me, I took it from him and gave him a little smile. "Thank you." I mumbled and placed it on the side, I still have my arm and leg in a cast so I have had to learn to do everything one handed. "How are you feeling?" Brad asked and held my hand, I shrugged my shoulders and sighed. "Are you in pain?" He asked. "No." I replied and he nodded. "Good, that's a positive then." He replied and kissed my hand. "I guess." I replied as I held his hand a bit tighter. "You look tired." I said and let go of his hand before placing it on his cheek. "I am..." He replied and smiled a little. "Why don't you sleep?" I asked. "Because I'm worried about you." Brad replied. "Don't be worried, I'm fine now. Just recovering." I answered and he nodded. "I prefer sleeping in the same bed as you." Brad commented and I smiled. "So do I." I replied and ran my thumb along his cheek.
"There is a new girl in our class." Brad replied, I stayed silent while looking at him and he gave me a confused look. "Great..." I finally replied in a sarcastic tone and placed my hand back on the bed. "What?" He asked. "Another girl that can win you over." I commented and he shook his head. "I don't like her." Brad explained and I rolled my eyes. "What?" He asked. "You say that now but over the next few week you will probably get to know her quite well, she will replace me in the group with you boys and I will be forgotten about. I know how this works Brad." I answered and he held my hand. "Look at me." Brad said but I just looked out the window. "Hayley Cooper you look at me right now." Brad asked in a serious voice, I turned my head to see he had tears in his eyes. "Don't you ever say that I will replace you, do you have any idea how many hours of sleep I have lost and how much food I haven't eaten because I am worried sick about you. I am never going to forget you and I'm never going to leave you because I love you and I have been here for you everyday." Brad explained and I sighed. "I just thought you would prefer a pretty girl who is able to live a normal life instead of a girl stuck in a hospital bed." I commented and Brad shook his head. "She isn't pretty, I really don't like her and you won't be stuck in here forever. Just a few more weeks and then you will be out of here." Brad replied. "She is pretty." I commented. "How do you know? You haven't seen her." Brad asked. "Because everyone is prettier than me." I replied and looked in the reflection of the window to see the healing scars on my face. "Baby, she isn't as pretty as you." Brad answered and I looked at him. "I can promise you that." He continued and I sighed.
A few minute of silence spread across the room and I stared at Brad. "Brad...." I stated and he looked at me. "Can you lay with me?" I asked and he nodded before I shuffled over a little and he slid under the duvet covers, he wrapped his arm around my waist being careful of my arm in the cast and kissed the side of my cheek. "Can we have a nap?" I asked. "Yeah, I need one." He replied and I smiled as he pulled me closer to him. "I can't sleep when I'm not with you." Brad commented and looked at me. "Me either." I replied and we both snuggled into each other and closed our eyes. "I love you." Brad mumbled and I felt his hair brush against my cheek, I have missed the feeling of him sleeping next to me so much. "I love you too." I replied and he nuzzled his head into my neck before we fell into a much needed sleep.
