Jackson glanced over to Grey who had his eyes shut, he seemed nervous about this deployment and Jackson could see why.

He never wanted to talk about it but his friend could tell that his mind was not as sound as before, he wanted to talk to him about it but he never truly figured out how he would do that.

Grey was a very difficult man to talk to, even getting him to talk about his opinion on simple tasks was tedious.

"You alright" he opened his eyes slightly then nodded, he was lying. Jackson's eyes were glued onto his thumb and index finger rubbing together

"We'll be fine, just stick to me and I'll take care of you" Grey glared at him for a second, then gave a soft chuckle

"Let's make a pack, this will be our final deployment" Grey stared at his out stretched arm, Grey took his hand and shook it.

Eleven years they both spent in the navy 14 deployments between them both, 7 each

"When we get back I want to introduce you to my family and you have to let me meet Uncle Mark" Grey smiled

Uncle Mark, that's how Jackson referred to Mark. Some days Jackson would take the calls Grey got from him. Jackson understood why Grey admired him so much, he was an amazing man and in the time Jackson got to know him he thought of him as a father

"We're here" the men one by one exited the truck, the place in front of them was a waste land. Bodies were scattered every, men, women and children alike.

Jackson caught sight of something moving in the distance and jogged towards it

"Where are you going?" Grey followed him

Jackson picked up a dog which was hiding in the ruble, the dog stared at Grey, their eyes were the same color

"Can we keep him?" Grey folded his arms

"Please? Oh come on he has your eyes" the dog let out a soft bark, with a sigh Grey agreed

"Let's call him Greyson" Grey rolled his eyes

"Since we're going to be his parents he should at least have something from both of us so Grey and Jackson make Greyson"

"We're not married" Jackson frowned

"It takes two to raise a child. Now we need to decide who takes him and when, when he stays in New York with you and when he'll stays in Washington with me. Though that'll be a lot of money moving him back and forth so much"

Grey had not told Jackson about his wealth, though they've known each other for eleven years. Grey stood in front of Jackson, stopping him and letting the rest of the troop go ahead to the base

"Money won't be a problem" Grey begun walking again

"Remember that my last name is Hamilton" Jackson clung tighter onto Greyson as he stared at Grey

"What are you talking about?"

"Think" Jackson whispered to Greyson

"The only Hamilton I've heard of is those rich........No fucking way" Grey shrugged

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't think it was necessary"

"So you're a billionaire, wow my best friend is a billionaire. I've got to tell mom, she has the biggest crush on your dad" Grey laughed

Jackson had established that Grey was his best friend two years ago, he felt extremely connected to Grey even though he never told him anything personal.
