Sarina Patel grew up in a middle class household. Her parents were incredibly caring but strict.
Her younger brother Joshua was a complete carbon copy of her. She ensured to call him everyday not wanting him to think that she doesn't love him, he said to her before she left for England that if she didn't call him everyday then he'd disown her as his sister. Of course she laughed it off but in fact she went a long with the idea
Sarina always had an interest in business. She was head of the young entrepreneurs club back in her old high school. She had multiple awards which all showed the interest she had in business, her main focus was marketing.
"So how was school?" She smiled at her 17 year old brother
"Going great. I aced my chemistry test" she applauded him
"Keep up the good work my future astronaut"
Joshua had a obsession with space ever since he was a little boy, Neil Armstrong was his idol. Sarina once surprised him with a trip to a space museum when he was younger, he'd never been so happy in his life at the time. Sarina had to pry a crying Joshua from the doors of the museum because he didn't want to leave
"How's mom and dad?" He sighed
"The pressure is on for me now. They're really expecting me to be at the top of my class and it's a real pain. Can't I stay with you for a while?" she chuckled
"You can go to college here and stay with me if you want. I'm sure I can convince them to let you stay with me" he let go a sigh of relief
"You know I love you right" she smiled
"So no boyfriend yet?" Her bother had no issue speaking freely about boy partly because he was bisexual
"No. I'm not interested in anyone right now. What about you?"
"There's this guy I like but he's straight"
"Sorry baby boy, there's always the nice guy. Anyhow next year it'll be you and I"
"Thanks Sarina. Love you"
"Love you too baby boy" Sarina stared at her brother's picture which sat next to her couch after she hung up the phone
"Crap" her alarm went off. It was time for her first class of the day and sadly Alexia didn't have a class until 3 pm.
Sarina wasn't very social, some people considered her a social butterfly, in all honesty she wasn't very fond of big crowds, she would always say fake it until you make it
Sarina stared at her lecturer, her mind not there
"Ms. Patel can you tell me whether or not a high level of public debt is a problem for developing countries?" Sarina groan and leaned on the desk with her hands under her chin
"A high debt level is generally regarded as something not good. However, it is far more important to consider, firstly what the debt was spent on and secondly whether the debt is domestic or foreign. If the debt is domestic and spent on the development of productive assets the the debt will pay for itself but if was used for financial consumption and borrowed from foreign markets it will become a major burden" Sarina's face showed utter boredom
"Good job Ms. Patel" she rolled her eyes
"Hey, nice answer" Sarina hummed in agreement not even bothering to look at the guy sitting next to her
Business was an easy class for her, it's always been. Whatever she was taught she retained.
Sarina strolled through the hall of her school, ready to go back home. Her next class wasn't til 2:30.
