I sat up on my bed and coughed harshly into my hand, blood decorated my hand. My hand was pulled away and wiped by Paula.

"Thank you" I took a sip of the water she placed by my bed while she sat on the edge of my bed

"You know you should tell him soon, you're not getting any better" Those words hit him like a ton of bricks

Daniel stares into thin air, his mind began to wonder.

"I try to not think about it. I keep telling myself if I don't say anything i'll be alright but I'm just scared of the out come"

"You're afraid of death" he sighed

"No, I'm afraid of disappointing my son more than I already have. I'm a horrible father" he gave a weak smile

"It's clear that your son still loves you, it's not the pure kind but the point is that it's there. You can fix what's been destroyed"

"I really don't how"

"Most people don't know how to fix what's been wronged, that's normal. In your case a simple I'm sorry could change a lot, you need to talk to him. Seeing you die will shatter him already, leaving without an explanation will add to that" he blinked back the tears he had in his eyes.

"I need you to call my lawyer for me. I have so things to do" she nodded and left the room

The truth can be painful but its what gives us peace to continue. The lies make us sleep at night but not without nightmares. Little white lies change our lives, guilt brings us to our knees.

When Daniel found out he was going to be a father he didn't know how to feel, he thought he was going to be like his father and indeed he was but only in some aspects.

He regretted all the days he didn't tell his son he loved him, the days they didn't spend together and most of all he regretted not fixing this sooner.

Laying on his deathbed made him realize that and he wanted to change everything before it was truly late.

It pained him to see his son return home a broken man, high on Valium and citalopram. The woman he called a wife was a demon to him, she ruined their son.

A older man dressed in blue entered the room. Jeremy Reigns, lawyer of the Hamilton family.

"Did you bring my will?" The man nodded

"Ms. Adams will be my witness" she entered as her name was mentioned

"I want my sole heir to be my son, everything I have goes to him, ensure you mention 100% of the business" Jeremy nodded

"What about your brother?"

"He'll understand why I did this"

"Ensure that she stays the hell away from my family. Before you go do me a favor and give this to the woman my son marries" Daniel handed Jeremy an envelope

Jeremy left after finalizing a few flaws. Daniel gave a weak smile at the though of tying up his lose ends in order for his son to be free

"So what's your move now?" Mrs . Adams placed a tray of food on the nightstand

"I have to go to England, I think that'll be the last time I'll ever travel" she frowned

"I'm tired, I Just want to go to sleep but I can't do that without making my wrongs right. I need to see my son and I need you to stand by me when I do it. To say I'm sorry, after that I'm going to say goodbye, I know it" Mrs. Adams was silent
