"Hayden?" He turned back for a moment before gazing back up at the night sky
"Not the person I was expecting" she chuckled and stood in front of him
"You like her don't you" he released a deep breath
"Is it that obvious?"
"To me yes, to her probably not" his eyes slowly drifted to Sarina's face. She could see the sadness laced in his eyes.
"I love her" Sarina wasn't surprise by his statement. She knew that there was something more to their friendship but it's only one sided
"So why don't you tell her?" he shrugged
"I guess I'm scared, what if she says no?" Sarina rolled her eyes
"What if she says yes? You can't live your life by what if" he nodded slowly
"I thought you were gay" Hayden shook his head with a small chuckle
"So did I but then I fell in love with my female best friend and now I just don't know who I am anymore" Sarina felt truly sorry for Hayden, he was a sheep without a shepard.
Hayden's sexuality was a true burden to him. He'd have sleepless nights worried about what people would say and how they'd treat him. Even after coming out as a gay man he still felt like it wasn't right
"Do you think she'll accept me?" Sarina groaned
"Honestly......no. That girl is in love with a broken man"
"What do you mean by broken?"
"It's not my place to say. It's either you hear it from Mark or you hear it for the man himself" Hayden scoffed
"Well that's not gonna happen" Sarina shook her head
"I don't understand why you hate them so much, they've got issues like you and me. The only difference is that they're rich and we're not"
"They act like they're all high and mighty, Mark claiming Alexia for his nephew and Finn just being a dick" Sarina laughed
"If you knew what was actually happening you wouldn't be saying that" Hayden scoffed
"Well what happened?" Sarina sighed
"Lets just say of it wasn't for Alexia he'd be dead" Hayden's eyes went wide, what is really going on?
"What the hell is going on? " Sarina shrugged
"Life I guess. Bad things happen to everyone just some situations are worse than others" Hayden chewed on his lip
"What should I do?"
"There's probably nothing you can do, fate has put Finn and Alexia together and it doesn't look like that's gonna change anytime soon, no matter how much Finn refuses to acknowledge that. All you can do is tell her the truth"
"What's the point if telling her if I don't stand a chance?"
"Nothing's impossible now-a-days"
"Why come out here?"
"I'm preparing you for the worse case scenario and that's getting your heart broken. Alexia is in love Hayden"
"She doesn't know that!"
"Her heart is reaching out to him, she wants to know him but he doesn't want to let her in but she will eventually have it"
"Who are you trying to be, cupid?"
