As soon as the sun is fixing to set,Tobias grabs a light brown basket that he had stored in a cabnet in the kitchen earlier that day probably while I was asleep and picks me up bridal style.
I giggle a little which seems to put a wide smile on his face.
As he heads out the door I turn my face into his shirt and take a deep breath. He smells like wind still, even though we no longer are in Dauntless.Sometimes I miss that place. The large dark walls that seem like they may cave in any moment. The blood that pulsed through my veins as I ran with the Dauntless. And best of all, being at the same place I was when Tobias first said he loved me.
I turn my head farther into his shirt and grab a piece of his shirt curling my hand into a fist.
I have begun to think that I no longer know where I belong, yet I do.I belong with Tobias.I belong here in Chicago.I wonder if I will always feel like this, empty yet not knowing where to go.
When I hear the whistle blare I wrap my hands around him tightly hoping he wont drop me.I look up at Tobias and he looks back at me.His deep blue eyes almost drilling a hole into me.
"Do you trust me?"he says with concern in his voice.I smile and reply ",Yes" he smiles back to but I can tell he is still unsure.
When the train gets close he starts to jog along side it as it slows a little.I can hear him huff and puff in my ear.
He quickly begins to run out of cars until we end up just barely missing the last one.
He launches himself up at the handle and hold on tight with me he tightly to him.He sets me down at the back of the train car to where I can see out the door without being to close.
He sits next to me and gently touches my cheek and kisses me slowly. When we separate I smile and wrap my hands around his neck and kiss him to.
The wind whistles just a little as the train steadily picks up speed. My hair seems to find its way around Tobias' neck as we kiss like a curtain shielding us from the out side world.
We continue to kiss until Tobias touches my lips with his index finger smiling.
"I'm so sorry to say this but....we have to jump."he says before he turns around and tells me to hop on his back this time. When I do I can barely feel pain in my ankle which I seem to smile about.
When we are off the train I am confused until I take a good look in front of me.When Tobias drops me next to the ledge I feel almost giddy with joy.
"Are you ok to jump?"he says touching my cheek.
"Yes.....yes,yes,yes."I say nodding my head rapidly smiling widely. He smiles to which seems to ignite a warm feeling inside me.
Before I can take one step toward the ledge,Tobias runs off the ledge while I stand there with my mouth hanging open.I can not even remember a time when he seemed so happy he would run off the edge of a building.AND HE IS SCARED OF HEIGHTS!!!
I stand at the ledge and look down over the ledge where the net is suppose to be but I still can't see it.I slowly turn around and take in a deep breath and fall backward.I feel weightless until I hit the net.
Over the edge of the net I see a pair of arms that I know is Tobias' and I gladly take them.
When I roll off the net and hit the ground I look directly into Tobias' eyes.He has a stern expression on his face and says ",Welcome to Dauntless."
