"Tris!!!" Christina yells in a paniced voice "Tobias!!!"
Tobias and I run down the dark hallway as fast as we can until we see Christina just standing in place with her arms crossed in front of her smirking.We both stop other our eyebrows raised and I ask "Christina?" she starts laughing loudly nearly falling to the floor.
"I wish you could see your face!!!" she says still laughing.I look at Tobias who looks back at me with a questioning look on his face but seems quite aggrivated.I could see why.....he had to spend three weeks with her while I was gone and now she thinks its hilarious to see just the two of us next to each other.
I walk over to Christina who is trying to contain herself and slap her on the arm hard.
"Hey!!!" she says slightly giggling.
"That's not funny,Christina."I say seriously.
"Well I suspected that if I just called you you wouldnt come plus I wanted to get back at you for scaring me." I roll my eyes and Tobias walks up next to me and takes my hand.
"Why did you come here?" Tobias says sternly trying to not to get mad at her again.
"I came here to tell you two that the leaders of the old factions (that are actually still alive) want the both of you to join them at amity headquarters." then she smiles wickedly "for a party....or celebration." I know I look horrified because I've never really been to a party.I look at Tobias who looks horrified at the idea of seeing his father again if he's alive or even coming.
"I don't think its a good idea."I say trying to speak for Tobias cause I know he doesn't want to go.
"The both of you are the reason to celebrate sooooooo you two are GOING!!!" She says depirately with her eyes wide.Tobias looks at me and doesn't say a thing after a while.
"Ok" he says "Ok,Ill go." He is still staring at me waiting for an answer.I started to believe he knows that I only said 'no' because of him.
"Ok" I say staring into his eyes.Every time I seem to look into his eyes I feel like I am staring at a wide open sea.I feel like I am becoming someone I wish to be.Safe,is what I feel.I safe haven that is sure to protect me. I could just barely hear Christina awwwing in the background but all I hear is the steady sound of my breathing.
"Ummmm"Christina says loudly. "The party starts in two hours so I suggest you hurry." The both of us staples back to our senses and the three of us start to get ready.
One hour later
As I stand in front of a long mirror to see if I looked ok I was stunned at my reflection.
I wore a knee length black dress with black high heels and my hair down.My hair now is the same length it used to be before I cut it.I thought about cutting it while I was fixing my hair but I decided not to.Christina made me wear some black mascara and eyeshadow which makes my blue eyes pop a little.
As I walk out the door,Tobias is leaned against a wall with a black tux on and a red rose it his pocket.I am guessing Christina thought of the rose.
When he sees me he stands up straight and scans me for a moment.
"You look.....beautiful."he says smiling widely as he takes my hand.
"You look.....handsome." I sat in the same tone of voice smiling. He laughs a little and kisses me on the lips. Christina walks out of the room across from us in a short black dress with black flats.She wears alot of black makeup which makes her look wicked.
"You look good to."I say smiling.
"Oh,don't push it.I want to show them that I am no longer that loud mouth Candor as they have called me."
"For starters you can stop easdropping on us." I say glancing at Tobias who is smiling a little.Christina gives me a face and I ignore it.
"Ok,I guess were ready to go!!!'She says pumping her fists in the air. Tobias gives me a quick kiss on the forehead and we head off to amity headquarters.
Time Lapse
When we get there I feel a twinge in my stomach.Christina walks in with out us and leaves us outside alone.
"Are you ok?" Tobias asks concerned touching my shoulder lightly.
"Yeah"I say looking at our feet."I'm just nervous."
"Me to." he says.
"Do they even know I'm alive?"
Tobias looks up at me with wide eyes.
"I don't think they do."
"Well then why did Christina say the both of us?"
"I think Christina was lying to us.She said she was trying to become more Dauntless."
I nod and roll my eyes.
"Are you ok now?" he asks poloitely.
"As long as I'm with you." we both smile and he takes my hand leading me in the double doors in front of dauntless headquarters.
