At the end of the celebration,everyone clears out of the ball room except my and Tobias.
We both sit side by side at the front of the platform on the steps.As we watch the last few people leave the room,I feel relieved.I am pretty sure Tobias does to.
Tobias looks at me and smiles widely.I have never seen him this happy before.He seems almost unnerving because of that.
"Congratulations on you being alive."He says sarcastically.
"Yeah,I'm pretty sure I shocked them."I say smiling a little.
"You did." he says as he takes my hand "but you showed them more than that.You showed them what bravery looks like." He kisses me on the lips and says "That is one of the reasons why I love you."I look into his eyes,as blue as the sea,and lean in for another kiss.
I hug him tightly and say "I love you.You know?"
"I do." he says as he wraps his arms around me.We stay like that for awhile until Tobias says "Its getting late.We should go." I nod and get up.Before I can take one step,Tobias swoops me up in his arms and laughs.
"What are you doing!?!?!?" I say smiling.
"Picking you up.What do you think?" he says quarking his eyebrows.
"I think......" I say touching a finger to my chin "your trying to butter me up." He smiles menacingly and says "Ok.ok, you caught me.I was trying to butter you up." I mimick his expression and wrap my hands around his neck quickly and lean him in for a kiss. "Now I'm going to butter you up.Hows that?" He smiles and kisses me also. "Great."
He starts running down the hallway which makes me giggle a little because I don't know what he's planning on doing or taking me.There are times like these that make my life seem worth while.I can feel my heart steadily beating with his and our breaths becoming rapid.His because of running and mine because of the unknown.Sometimes we seem like two different people but we fit like a puzzle piece.That is what I like about him. But the one thing I always loved about him was how he never truly underestimated me because of how small I was or the fact I was a girl.There are physical appearances like these that most guys find hard to get past yet sometimes they may not even know it.That is why I love him.That is why I am in love with Tobias Eaton.
