When I walk out,I turn around and watch as Tobias vanishes.He must of disappeared to the other side to wait for me.I smile at the thought and continue down the hallway towards Christina's apartment.
When I get there I fold the paper and wedge it between the door and start running down the hallway towards the chasm.
As I head that way,I begin to here the crashing waters of the chasm rumbling in my ears.I slowly begin to walk to the middle of the bridge over the chasm while staring at the white and blue waters crashing below.Within the next few minutes my body will be down there.They will hopefully find my body on those rocks where I found Tobias.I remember hearing Christina tell me that we were suppose to pick up his ashes today....shell just have to pick up his without me.
I carefully place my hands on the cold iron rail and lean over and close my eyes.Drops of cold water splashes in my face as I stand there focusing on why I'm here.
I wipe my face and look to the far end of the chasm and think about what Tobias said about the chasm when I first came here.
"The chasm reminds us that there is a fine line between bravery and idiocy.A daredevil jump off this ledge will end your life.It has happened before and it will happen again."
"And so it shall." I say before closing my eyes and whispering to myself with tears in my eyes "I love you,Tobias."
Next thing I know I feel a weightless feeling beneath me then I crash into the water.I can barely see a rock next to me but U don't grab it but instead I swim deeper.I remember in my fear landscape being in something like this.I was afraid of having no control of my surroundings.I remember Tobias telling me to swim deeper and to try to slow your heart rate but instead of slowing my heart rate I am trying to completely stop my heart.
As I sink to the bottom almost lifeless I only have one thing on my mind....Tobias.In the distance I could see a bright light shining through the dark blue waters of the chasm and with that light I notice Tobias walking towards me and taking my hand into his and leading me into the light with him.I forget about everything I am leaving behind and focus on what lies behind that curtain of light that I will now call my home.
