When I wake up,I'm in Tobias' apartment.Tobias is nowhere to be found and I'm alone.A ray of light shines in the center of the room from a window he left open and a cool breeze seems to blow in.
While I lay there,I think about what my mother said about me having to die again.I CANT DO THAT. I can't put Tobias through that or Christina.I am suppose to get married to Tobias and live the rest of my life with him.I can't just do suicidal things or try to kill myself for people like before.I just can't.
As I try to get up,Tobias walks in.He walks over to me and sits next to me on the side of his bed.
"How are you feeling?" he asks.
"Fine" He takes my hand in his and firmly kisses me on the forehead.I try to find a way to tell him what my mother told me but I just can't really bring up the nerve to tell him.
"Do you know why you blacked out?" he asks as he gets up.
I know I can't lie to him so I tell him the truth "Yes......my mother wanted to talk to me." When he hears this he admediately looks at me shocked.He walks back over to the bed and sits down next to me.He takes my hand in his which tells me he's expecting something bad from me.
"What did she say?" he says his voice strained.
I take one large breathe and begin to tell him about what my mother said about Chicago and the happenings in the area and the way he's been acting.I tell him everything except about my death.
"Did she say how we are suppose to stop it?"
"Yes....."I say my voice strained a little.I look at the ground for a moment and then stare directly into Tobias' eyes with tears in my eyes and say "She said I'd have to die again."
He doesn't move or even speak for a moment.I can see a small tear in the corner of his eye.I can already sense his anger and his pain just by looking at his face.
"You are not going to die." he says sternly "not again not EVER again."
"Tobias,its all going to get worse.Ill have not choice but to."
"Your not going to leave me again,Tris!!!" he yells in my face.I'm beginning to sob now and I put my face in my hands to hide it.
"All of those people out there can go on ahead and commit suicide cause I am not going to let you die again,Tris!!!" he says pointing out the window.
I continue to sob into my hands and quit listening to him yell at me.Before I know it I hear him slam his door shut and he's gone.
