Chapter 3: Promises

Liza's P.O.V

I start walking towards the isle and away from my very weird room. I make it to the start of it and admire the beauty.

At the very end I see David in a suit with glossy eyes and smile. I start to make my way down the isle and see my little girl smiling very big next to her brother. I smile and a tear escapes from my eyes. I made it to the end and hand my flowers to Kristen. David lifts my veil and grabs my hands. A tear falls down his cheek from whispering something.

D-"I have never seen someone as beautiful as you."

I smiled even more and the guy marrying us starts to speak. I didn't hear much of what he said because I was lost in the eyes of David. It felt like it was only me and him. No one else. I was snapped out of being mesmerized when we heard him talk about vows. We both made our own vows since we wanted it to be special. David let go of my hands and reached into his pocket. He pulled out a folded piece of paper and started to read it after unfolding it.

D-"Liza Koshy. Where do I begin? Beautiful. Special. Perfect. They are all words that explain her. Liza, ever since I saw you on your first day of high school, I knew I loved you. I told myself everyday before and after we started dating that I would marry this girl. That I would get down on one knee and hold up the ring and ask her to be mine for ever. I knew I would have you forever. I knew that I would wake up next to you everyday and think about how amazing my life is. I love you Liza. And I love our beautiful kids as well. I promise I will be there every time you are sad about the fact you can't see Beth, if anyone doesn't know who that is, it's Scotty and Kristen's daughter. Anyways, I promise I will be there for our kids and I promise most of all, to love you every second of every day. My promises are one of the few things I can give you."

After David saying his vows, he slid the beautiful wedding ring on my finger. At the end we were both crying. I also made the girls put waterproof makeup on me because I tend to cry a lot.

For me, I didn't write my vows down. I knew what I wanted to say and I didn't know my vows would be like David's.

L-"David Dobrik, I honestly didn't think our vows would end up sounding the same. But I guess that is what happens when you know someone better than you know yourself. David I fell for you, like you fell for me. I remember the day you came up to me after English and asked me to be your girlfriend after only meeting 2 weeks before hand. Everyone said that we wouldn't last because we rushed into things. Almost 10 years later, we are getting married with 2 kids that are 6 and 3 quarters. I also remember the exact words you said and the exact way you acted. You looked down at your hands while you were standing next to my locker. Then you said and I quote 'Can I date you?'. When you asked me that question, I was the happiest person alive. You saved me from things that would lead both of us to not being here, breathing. Thank you for being my hero. I promise to love you. I promise to help raise our kids. And the one thing I mostly promise is... not to eat the last donut. Ok, not really. The real one is, I promise that you will be my only forever. You are the only exception, and the kids, in my world."

With that said, tears going down his face, and a few laughs,  I slid the ring on his finger.

We kissed as soon as we were told we could and it was a different kiss. It was slow, but powerful. It was passionate yet simple. After every one slowed down on the cheering, we pulled away. He grabbed, my hand and led me down the isle. We walked into the barn like building next to the beach that was decorated as our venue. As everyone walked to their seats, people were gaping at the room. I don't blame them. It is stunning.

After hours of eating and dancing people started going to the front of the barn to make speeches. First, was Kristen and Scotty.

K-"Liza, David. The happiest and most in love people I have ever met. I may not have known Liza my whole life, like the family in this room, but I can't remember my life without her. Before Liza came to our high school, David was a duck with an 'i'. Liza changed him for the better. So David and Liza congratulations. I love you both so much."

I laughed when she called David a dick. Well a duck with an 'i'. He frowned at that part. Next Scotty was wanting to say something so before my mom got up there, he was able to say a few things.

S-"David and Liza's relationship was far from perfect in high school. Fights, arguments, me. I somewhat remember getting drunk and David knocking some cense into me. Literally. He punched me for being a duck. Anyways, Liza you truly made David a better person. So thank you for helping my best friend and congratulations and I love you both. Also we need a babysitter April 31st."

Scotty's speech was nothing but the truth. And the second he mentioned needing a babysitter for Beth. I raised my hand everywhere. Everybody laughed, but what they don't know is I have a secret including a baby. After a minute, my mom stepped up to the front.

M-"David you made Liza happy ever since she met you. She loves you so much and I can tell you love her a lot. You guys have the cutest kids and the nicest ones at that.  And I am also happy to share this moment with her as she announces her big news."

I looked over at all the confused faces and walked over to my mom. Dragging David behind me, still not saying anything.

L-"Ok, so my mom is the only person who knows. So that means not even the own father of my unborn child knows."

David's face went blank when he realized what I said. He smiled a little looking at me with hopeful eyes.

L-"I'm pregnant!"

I screamed to all of the excited and shocked faces.
