Chapter 21: Another Blue Crayon

Kaitlyn's P.O.V

Liam fell asleep about an hour ago holding my hand. He is still holding it with his head rested on the bed. It is 3:00am and I am very tired, but I am so happy about dating Liam, that I just can't seem to fall asleep.

I really like him and I just now find out he really likes me too. It's the greatest thing in the world. Like my mom once told me when I was little. 'Find your blue crayon, the one that makes up your world, the one you never have enough of.' 

I definitely found mind. And that  was the last thought I had before falling asleep with Liam's hand in mine.

Liam's P.O.V

I woke up holding Kaitlyn's hand with my head rested on the bed. I lifted my head and looked at her. She was slightly curled, as much as she could since her stomach was in pain, with her hand that wasn't holding mine under her head. Her brown hair was messy and partially covered her eyes. 

A smile took over my face as I realized once again, she's my girlfriend. I still can't believe it. As I sit there looking at her beautiful face, I hear the door open. 

I turn around to see Kayden and his parents standing in the doorway. I gave them a half smile as they stared with wide eyes at me. I turned my head back to Kaitlyn as they started to walk my way. Kaitlyn turned slightly, but still stayed asleep. I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked up to see David. 

D-"She makes you happy, and you make her happy. Thank you for helping her and keeping her safe as much as you could."

I grinned as a response and looked at Kayden. 

KD-"If you ask her, I will deny I ever told you, but she likes you. A lot."

I laughed quietly as I pointed to our hands. 

LM-"I know. She's my girlfriend."

They all had happy looks on their faces as they looked at me. I looked at Kaitlyn and saw a small smile on her face that was being covered by her hair, but I could still see it. 

L-"How long have you been here? The doctor said you were the only one awake when he came out last night."

I made a weird 'let's see' noise from my mouth as I ran my hand through my suprisinginly soft dirty blonde hair. 

LM-"Around 1:00am. I fell asleep at like 2:00am. I don't when she fell asleep, but I woke up around 20 minutes ago."

KD-"Dude, you've been in that same spot for 8 and a half hours?"

Guess it's 10:30am. 

LM-"Yep, laying my head on the bed holding her hand. Except I've been holding her hand for like 9 and a half hours, but still."

L-"Well since she is still asleep and she is allowed to leave when she wakes up, we will just head home. Do you mind taking her home when she wakes up, please?" 

LM-"Yeah, I wonder when my Juliet will wake up to our forbidden love."

I smiled as I saw Kaitlyn trying to hold back a laugh. 

The three looking at me had confused expressions on their face. They said their goodbyes and left. 

LM-"So, are you done fake sleeping?"

Kaitlyn opened her eyes to look at me.

KT-"How did you know?"

LM-"I saw you smiling when I called you my girlfriend."

She smiled and blushed. She was like an adorable puppy. 

She moved her hand out from under her head as I moved the hair out of her face. Her brown eyes were looking at me then at our hands then back at me.
