I am 100% fed-up with the 3D and CGI fascination. Yes, we can do amazing things with computers when it comes to movies. We all know this. However, I would like to call to the witness stand a little friend of mine we call "MODERATION".

3D and CGI, both arguably useful tools of the modern filmmaking age, should be SPICES, NOT MAIN COURSES, with the exception of Pixar and DreamWorks films, of course

3D and CGI, both arguably useful tools of the modern filmmaking age, should be SPICES, NOT MAIN COURSES, with the exception of Pixar and DreamWorks films, of course. Live-action movies should not be mostly comprised of CGI generated images and green-screen imposed backgrounds. The human eye (when attached to at least half a brainstem) can usually detect something that is unnatural or fake. When your brain processes the information as phony, it automatically deducts points from the realism of the work as a whole.
