Chapter 4

Season 1, Episode 7

Lianna jogged towards Emily's house, a white car parked in front of her house that says "Congratulations" made her chuckle. She got in an accident but still won a car? But that smile quickly faded when her eyes caught several cops standing beside the car. She tucked her hands inside the pocket of Jason's jacket that he gave her last night and knocked on the wooden door.

"Lianna?" Emily's mother said when she saw the young girl. Lianna smiled at her as she opened the door wide enough for her to pass.

"Is Emily okay?" Lianna asked her and she nodded. "She's upstairs with the other girls," She said.

"Thanks, Mrs. Fields" Lianna thanked her. She took her hand in hers. "I told you to call me Pam, Lianna. You're like my daughter too, you know" She said with a warm smile.

"Thanks, Pam" Lianna corrected, this time Pam smiled at her and nodded before going to their kitchen. She walked upstairs and gave Emily's door a knock before pushing it open.

"Hey, Em" Lianna greeted and closed the door behind her as she entered the room, finding Spencer and Aria. "Hey," She greeted them and hugged Emily.

"Where were you last night? You just disappeared" Spencer asked her as she lay down beside Emily before sighing. "I'll tell you once Hanna is here, I don't want to keep repeating myself," She said to them and hugged Emily's waist to hide her face from them.

"So what happened last night?" She asked, her voice muffled since her face is buried in Emily's side. Emily brushed her hair as Lianna listened to Aria.

"It was all in his shrink's file. Toby and Jenna had a relationship." Aria said making the clueless girl sit up. "Wait what?" She asked in disbelief.

"Way beyond step-siblings," Spencer said as she held her coffee. "Yeah, they... were involved," Aria said slowly.

"Romantically?" Emily asked making the other girl sigh. "I doubt I'd call it romantic. I doubt she had much of a choice." Spencer said and crossed her arms.

"And that's what Alison saw when she threw the stink bomb," Aria said.

"Yeah, and she threatened to expose Toby, which is probably why he wanted her dead," Spencer added.

"And not just her... us. You." Aria said to her but Emily looked as if she doesn't believe anything.

"You don't believe us?" Spencer asked. "I do, I... I just don't get it. If Toby killed Alison and wanted to do the same to me, then why am I sitting in my bed and not in a body bag?" Emily said in confusion.

"She has a point" Lianna sighed. "Maybe there's a reason behind all of this" She added, massaging her temples as she started to get a headache.

"You can tell them everything now," Spencer said to her and placed her cup of coffee on Emily's dresser. "She can't tell them everything. You have to leave out the file." Aria said to her.

"Fine. Leave out the file." Spencer said Lianna played with the zipper of Jason's jacket when Hanna entered the room. "Who knew Rosewood had this many cops? I went to put this back, and they were outside the doctor's office talking to Toby's shrink. They know this was stolen." She said and took out Toby's file.

"Can I see that?" Emily asked as she looked at the files in Hanna's hand. "If anyone saw me go into that building last night, I am so hosed." Hanna said after handing over the files. Her eyes turned to the girl beside Emily making her chuckle at the sight of her friend.
