Season 2, Episode 19
~•~•~•~A month has passed after A set us up for Ali's murder. The whole month quickly passed by as we spent it wearing an orange jumpsuit while cleaning. The whole month passed by quickly after A exposed the truth that lead me into finding out that Caleb was indeed my brother.
Logan and I didn't get the chance to talk about it since he was out of the country and will not be back until later this year. As for Jason and I, we completely lost touch after our last conversation. I think he went out of town to completely avoid Aria and I.
In a month, so many things happened. Even with the girls and I, we can't deny the fact that so many things have changed. Except for one thing, A.
"You guys, Tamborelli's telling kids to turn off their cell phones." Spencer said to Emily and Aria who was on her phone as she approached us, her huge pillow tucked underneath her arm, "Otherwise, he's gonna have to confiscate them."
"They can't do that, can they?" Emily said, turning her gaze from her phone to Spencer, "Those are the rules. Turn off the digital spigot, or they will."
"Wait, what's a spigot?" Hanna asked Spencer, "It's--" Spencer started but Hanna shook her head.
"Never mind. I really don't care." Hanna said making me chuckle, "Are there any messages from that number in Ali's coat?" Spencer asked Emily, leaning forward to look at her phone.
To our dismay, Emily shook her head, "No."
"People, please, Pick a line. any line. And it does not matter which one. You will be given your group assignments, and they will tell you where to go, but, please, just pick a line." Our school principal said loudly making us sigh.
"I guess I'll just hope that I'd be in a group with one of you?" I said, sighing as I adjusted my backpack that was on my shoulders. The girls nodded at me and we quickly dispersed to form into a line.
"Thanks," I said to the committee with a smile as she wrapped a red paper around my wrist. I looked around and saw the room that was assigned to us.
"Caleb?" I said, stopping abruptly as he just stood at the entrance of the room. His eyes looking at, Jenna? Playing the piano?
"Hey, did you know she was gonna be in this group?" Caleb asked, turning a bit to look at me before turning to Jenna. "Well, if I did I would've probably given myself a fever." I said to Caleb with a shrug making him chuckle.
The two of us sat together. Feeling a little bit comforted that he was actually in my group. For Caleb and I, it was still awkward but we were working things through. As my eyes spotted Mrs. Hasting enter the room, I gave her a smile which quickly faded when I saw who was behind her.
"What is he doing here?" I muttered to myself once I saw Jason enter the room with his hands tucked in his pocket. His eyes were glued to mine as he walked past us.
"What, you know that guy?" Caleb asked and I nodded, "Yeah. It's Alison's brother." I sighed.
"And my ex."
From my peripheral view, I saw Caleb turn his head towards my direction, "You okay?" He asked, his voice laced with concern.
"I can't do this." I said, grabbing my things to leave when Caleb held my arm, "I don't think you've got a choice." He said making me groan when I realized he has a point.
"Besides, with everybody spilling their guts today, some of us might have a lot to say." Caleb said as I sat back down. I turned to him and saw him glaring at the girl who was far across from us folding her stick, "I know I do."
"Go easy on her Caleb. She doesn't have her pet around." I said, sighing as I crossed my arms in front of my chest. Mentally cursing as I met Jason's green eyes who looked at me and then at Caleb.
Okay, was I being delirious or did I just see jealousy in his eyes?
I visibly flinched as my phone rang throughout the quiet room causing everyone to look at me. "Sorry. I forgot to turn it off." I said, biting my lip as I saw Mrs. Hasting look at me. My hands almost dropped my phone causing Caleb to chuckle at my clumsiness.
"Stop." I chuckled at him as he leaned back to control his laughter before opening the text message.
From: Unknown Number
I see pretty boy is back in town. And by the way, congratulations on knowing your brother. You see, a debt should be repaid and I hope you know now that I have my fingers around your neck, bitch. - A
My brows furrowed as I scanned the room to hopefully see who was on their phone. My breath hitched as I saw Jenna fumbling with something in her bag. Is it really her? Is A Jenna?
When I saw her pull out a gum from her bag, I rolled my eyes and turned off my phone before stuffing it into my bag. My mind racing as I tried to understand what the text meant.
Is she possibly saying that my debt to A was him, her, it, finding about Caleb?
