You knew that this was going to be a boring Saturday for you. You had fallen off your bike in a rather bad way and landed yourself a concussion, which meant you weren't allowed to do any filming or working for the next three days. You hardly made it through day one, boredom consuming you at every minute of the day, and you knew today would be just the same.
Truth be told, you felt absolutely fine. It didn't feel like you had a concussion at all. But, your doctor stressed how important it was for you to just rest, and take it easy. Which is what you did all morning. You lazed around on the couch watching Netflix and scrolling through various social medias on your laptop. However, come lunch time, you were so bored it was becoming unbearable.
"Just a little bit of movement won't hurt," you mumbled to yourself, opening Spotify to your favorite playlist. You had the urge to just dance, even if it was only for one song. At least, if you did this, then maybe you wouldn't be so bored. An upbeat song that you happened to like a lot came on, and you got up, dancing around your living room.
You became lost in the song, not caring what you looked like as you danced because it felt a helluva lot better than sitting around on the couch for twelve hours. When the song came to an end, you reluctantly paused the next one and went to sit down, when you heard clapping coming from behind you. You nearly jumped out of your skin, but relaxed when you saw it was one of your best friends, Chosen, standing at the doorway.
"How long have you been standing there?" you asked, red embarrassment creeping up your cheeks.
"Long enough," he responded, smirking, "Aren't you supposed to be resting? What if you just jumbled your brain all up and now you're gonna die?" You snorted, rolling your eyes at the boy in front of you.
"I'm sure dancing for three minutes won't hurt anyone," you replied, resuming your previous position on the couch. Chosen walked all the way into the living room, sitting on the opposite end of the couch from you.
"It might hurt you," he shrugged, sending you a look.
"Doubtful. I feel fine, okay?" you said, trying to reassure him, as well as yourself.
"I know, but, I still worry about you. I miss seeing you on set and I want you to come back soon, so you need to not mess that up," Chosen explained, smiling slightly at you.
"Whatever, i'm sure you boys are fine on set by yourselves. It's only been two days," you replied, waving a hand dismissively in his direction.
"No, I'm serious. I really do miss you," Chosen said, all traces of humor leaving his voice. You sighed, guilt coming over you. You hadn't mean to worry him, or anyone else for that matter, but especially him. For a while now, you and Chosen had been on the fence between dating, and friends, and it was a weird line to toe. You cared about him, a lot, and you didn't want to upset him in any way.
"I'm sorry, really. I miss you two and I miss set and not having to sit here all damn day," you chuckled, "now, if you really wanna make me feel better, come cuddle with me." You opened your arms and made grabby hands at Chosen, making him laugh. Nonetheless, he crawled over to you, wrapping his arms around your shoulders as he kicked his way under the blankets.
Kissing the top of your head, he mumbled, "I love you, you reckless idiot."
