You guys, please request! This book is for you after all!
You grew up with the Jaeden. For fourteen years, you lived on the same street as Jaeden, went on family outings with Jaeden, and in your younger years, went to school with Jaeden. Needless to say, the two of you were very close friends.
You always supported Jaeden's acting career, because you knew it was something that made him really happy. In recent years, his acting has picked up and he's landed bigger and bigger rolls. Of course, you were ecstatic for him. Even when it meant he'd be leaving you for a while to film.
This was one of those times, where he was away. He was filming 'It', a movie you would have been excited to see regardless of if Jaeden was in it or not. It was merely a bonus that your best friend would be in the movie.
It was nearing ten at night, and you were finishing up some homework that you forgot about, when you got a facetime on your laptop. You looked over, grinning when you saw it was Jaeden who was calling you. Quickly, you pressed 'answer' and started packing away your homework so you could focus on Jaeden.
"Hey, Jae! How was filming today?" you asked, once your bestfriend's face popped up on the screen.
"It was alright. A really tiring day, though," he answered, leaning his head on the wall with half-lidded eyes.
"Jaeden, you look exhausted! Go get some sleep," you chuckled at the sleepy boy, who was now making an effort to look more awake.
"No, no, I wanna talk to you," Jaeden replied, sitting up straight and looking into the camera, with a small smile on his face. Facetiming you was a daily thing; he would come back after filming and almost immediately call you. He couldn't help but think you looked extra beautiful today, even in your pajamas with your hair tied up messily. Your smile was bright and the affection you held for him was evident in your eyes.
Though Jaeden wouldn't be quick to admit it, he knew he had a crush on you. Knowing someone practically since birth makes it easy to crush on them, after all. Not to mention that he has not, to this day, ever met someone with such as unique personality as you.
"Jaeden, hey! What are you doing?" you laughed, snapping your fingers in front of the camera. Jaeden had zoned out, and you suspected it was because he was immensely tired, not because he was thinking about you.
"Sorry, sorry! How was your day?" he asked, leaning back in his chair.
"It was alright. Regular school stuff, you know. Boring," you responded, bringing your feet up onto the chair so you could rest your head on your knees, "what about you? Anything weird happen today?"
"Besides Jack's usual shenanigans, no," Jaeden responded, and the two of you laughed.
"Hey, [y/n]? I was thinking," Jaeden started.
"Oh no," you teased, a grin on your face. Jaeden rolled his eyes at you before continuing.
"Whatever! I was thinking, do you wanna come visit me for a week or two on set? Meet the cast, and hang out?" Jaeden asked, and your eyes widened to the size of saucers.
"Really? A-are you sure, Jaeden?" you asked, wanting to make sure that he really wanted you there on set. I mean, this was like his only break from you.
"Yes, of course! I really miss you,"he admitted, a sheepish smile on his face.
"I really miss you too," you grinned fondly, "but what about school?"
"Don't worry, I took care of everything with your school and your parents. You fly out tomorrow night," he beamed, laughing as he watched you squeal and do a happy dance.
"Oh my god, I have to pack! No time, no time!" you began listing off all the things you would need, asking Jaeden every question under the sun about his friends so they'd like you, etc.
Jaeden only watched with a smile on his face, knowing that tomorrow night he'd be able to tell you how he feels.
