Hi guys! ATTENTION: I am writing a Novella (short novel) and I wanted to know, if I put it up for sale, do you think any of you would buy it? It would be like $8. If you want more info on what it's about just DM or ask in the comments! Thanks, bye xx
You had been best friends with Jack since before he started getting popular in acting. You knew the cast of It, even considered some of them friends, and hung out on the sets Jack was working on a lot. Still, Jack tried to keep you out of the public eye as much as he could. He knew how vicious other people's fans were to their personal friends, and he didn't want that to happen to you; he wouldn't be able to forgive himself.
One day, after It was out, Jack and most of the rest of the cast were doing an Instagram live. Naturally, you were tucked away somewhere off camera, rotating from reading your book, to going on your phone. The boys were all on the couch in your house, and you were in the room behind them, sitting at the table. What you neglected to remember, was that the wall the couch was against was a half-wall, allowing people to see into the room you were in. You figured you might be far enough away from the camera to not be noticed, but unfortunately, you were very wrong.
"Someone asked, 'hey, who's that in the background?'" Wyatt read out from the screen, a look of confusion passing over his face as he and the rest of the boys turned to look behind them. You looked back at them, and an expression of panic came over all of your faces. You could see the chat blowing up on the phone still propped up on a pile of books on the table.
Heaving a sigh, Jack turned back to the camera, the rest of the boys following suit.
"Okay guys, I guess it's time to come clean. (Y/n), come here! This is my best friend (y/n) who I have neglected to introduce to you," Jack explained, motioning for you to come over to him. Hesitantly, you stood up from the table, and made your way over to him. You weren't happy that this is how you're being introduced; clad in a big sweatshirt and leggings with your hair up messily. But, you were glad you were getting this over with. You leaned down over the back of the couch so your face was in the camera.
"Hi guys," you smiled, waving at the camera. Jaeden and Jack looked at each other, a mischievous grin adorning both their faces. In sync, they both reached up, and pulled you over the back of the couch onto their laps, causing you to scream and laugh.
"Guys, what the heck!" you laughed, sitting up in between the two of them and straightening out your hair.
"Anyway guys, meet (y/n). If you have any questions about her, I guess you could ask them," Jack said, and you nodded along. Questions and comments started flooding in, making the chat go so fast, you could hardly keep up.
"Uhhh, (y/n) this one is for you. How did you meet Jack?" Wyatt asked, turning to face you.
"Uh, I met him at a school football game when we were in third grade. I was a cheerleader, and Jack was in the stands watching his friends play. He offered me chocolate and we became friends. I'm not a cheerleader anymore, but I'm glad I was because I got to meet him," you explained, shooting a grin at Jack, who you saw was already smiling at you.
You answered a few more questions, and then let the boys go back to their things, opting to sit and read the comments. You saw a couple of comments that made you blush, though you tried to hide it.
User1 omg i ship Jack and (y/n) so hardddd
User2 (Y/n) is so cute, I hope they bring her on more of the livestreams!!
User3 I SMELL A NEW SHIP GUYS OMG
User4 jack and (y/n) datedatedatedate
Jack seemed to have noticed as well, because a matching blush was adorning his cheeks. He kept sneaking glances at you, watching your expression change as you read each comment. A little while later, the boys ended their live, all going to do their own things around the house. That left just you and Jack on the couch by yourself.
"So, did you read those comments?" Jack asked suddenly, turning his attention to you. You quirked an eyebrow up in question at him.
"Which ones are you referring to?" you asked, and it took a little while for Jack to answer you.
"The ones saying that people shipped us," he answered simply.
"Oh, yeah I did," You answered, feeling a blush rise to your cheeks yet again.
"Well...um, I kinda agree with them," Jack said casually. Your eyes widened, and you stared at him. Jack stared right back, face seemingly emotionless.
"You do? I mean, I kind of do too," you told him honestly.
"Well, if that's how you feel, maybe I could take you out on a date some time soon?" Jack asked hopefully, and you felt your face split into a grin.
"Yeah, of course! Take me somewhere nice," you told him, winking at him before getting up off the couch.
