Ya girl doesn't have school on Monday so I'm going on a date ;)))
There was no denying the fact that you had a crush on Stan Uris. You had been in school with him since the two of you were hardly out of diapers, and you had always been too shy to actually talk to him in real life. Your friends caught you staring at him in class all the time, and you had even rehearsed trying to talk to him multiple different times, before you chickened out.
The only thing was, that Stan always had a crush on you, too. The entire Loser's Club made fun of him for it; saying he was a baby because in all these years, he couldn't even talk to you. He always rolled his eyes, ignoring them, but it was starting to get to him. He knew he had to do something, even just say 'hi' to you in class, or something like that.
Stan finally plucked up the courage to do so one Monday morning, sitting in homeroom while he stared bleakly in your direction. You were dressed in your favorite sweater, nursing a hot cup of tea and trying to leech the frigidness out of your veins. You looked up, catching his eyes for a second, and sent him a small smile. His eyes widened in realization that you saw him, and he could feel his cheeks flush. Nonetheless, he sent a smile back your way.
Thinking it might be creepy if he just left it at that, Stan stood up awkwardly and walked over to you, sitting at the desk next to you.
"Uh, hey, (y/n),"he said as he sat down, causing you to look up at him.
"Hi, Stan. How's your morning going?"you asked, a bright smile on your face, making a grin grow unconsciously on his face.
"It's been alright, I guess. Any morning where I don't run into Bowers is a good morning," Stan laughed, "how about you?"
"Oh, not so good. I fell in a puddle on the way to school, so now I'm freezing," you admitted, and it was only then that Stan noticed the little water droplets falling from your hair every once in a while.
"Oh, um, do you want my jacket?" Stan asked, taking off his dark blue jacket and moving it towards you.
"Thank you, Stan," you said, blushing as you pulled on his jacket. You instantly felt warmer but from the jacket or the gesture, you didn't know. Stan was about to say something else, but the bell rang, and all the rest of the students sprang up from their seats to go to their first class.
"Thanks for making my morning brighter, Uris! See you later," you called out to him as you walked from the room, leaving a dumbfounded and idiotically grinning boy in your wake.

Later that day, you walked out into the school courtyard for lunch. Usually you ate with a couple of your other friends, but most of them had skipped school for the day, so it looks like you'd be eating alone. You held your lunch tray in your hand, eyes scanning the area for a place to sit, when your eyes came across a table that held a group of kids known as the Loser's Club. One of those boys being none other than Stan Uris.
As luck would have it, the boys caught sight of you at the same time that you caught sight of them. Richie nudged Stan, probably making a snide comment about you wearing his jacket, and then all the boys tried giving Stan high-fives. Stan rolled his eyes at them, getting up from the table and walking over to you.
You met him in the middle of the courtyard, smiling at him as he walked up to you.
"Hey, (y/n/n), do you wanna, um, maybe sit with my friends and I for lunch? I mean, I get it if you don't want to, but-" Stan started, but you cut him off.
"Stan, I'd love to sit with you," you laughed, and Stan thought he might melt right then and there at the sound of your melodious laugh. The two of you started back to the table together, Richie moving over so there would be room for you next to Stan. You sat on the edge of the bench, with Eddie Kaspbrak, a boy you'd talked to a couple of times, sat across from you.
"Hiya, (y/n), right? I'm Richie. Just so you know, Stan here really wants to-" Richie started, but Stan's hand quickly clamped over his mouth, cutting off the rest of his sentence and making you giggle.
"Uh, yeah, I am (y/n). In case any of you don't know me," you added quietly.
"I'm Bev. Ignore Richie, he's usually a dumbass," the redheaded girl a little ways down the table introduced herself, both of you laughing at her latter comment as you shook hands. The rest of lunch you sat at the table, talking, laughing, and getting to know the Loser's Club. The whole time, both you and Stan were painfully aware of each other's presence, and the fact that the you were so close.
When lunch ended, all of you reluctantly stood up from the table, you and Stan lingering behind longer than the rest.
"So, u-um, (y/n), I was wondering, would you wanna like hang out after school maybe?? O-or something," Stan asked, nervously rubbing the back of his neck with hand.
"Consider it a date, Stan," you grinned, standing on your tiptoes to press a kiss to his cheek, before shouldering your backpack and walking away.
