Someone requested the bed sharing trope but with Wyatt so here ya go! Also butter my biscuits and call me betty crocker I may have written something good for once.

You've known Wyatt and his family practically since birth. Your parents and his parents are friends, so naturally the two of you grew up to be very close friends. As Wyatt started acting more and more, and he was away from home for longer periods of time, you two seemingly grew farther apart. It made you sad that you no longer texted daily, it was now a miracle if you two conversed every other day.

Wyatt had just finished filming IT, and he was supposed to come home for a bit, but unfortunately his parents had an emergency trip they had to take, and your parents had been entrusted in picking Wyatt up from the airport. The other part of this deal, was that Wyatt would be staying over your house for a couple of days, because his parents didn't want him to be home alone while they were gone.

Truth be told, you were nervous to have Wyatt staying in your house. He had been very distant in the last couple of weeks, and you were afraid he didn't want to be your friend anymore. And to make matters more awkward for you, Wyatt would be staying in your room, in your bed, while he was here. In your parents own words, they 'trusted the two of you to not do any funny business while you're bed sharing.'

You spent approximately three days megastressing over this, before the dreaded day came. Your parents went to pick up Wyatt while you were still at school, which you for one, thought was better than you having to go. Unfortunately, it was a Friday, so you had three nights and two days of pure awkwardness with no breaks in between waiting for you.

By the time you had made it to your house, your mom had texted you, saying that they were twenty minutes away from the house. You felt your stomach turn. It's not that you didn't want to see Wyatt, because by golly you did, but you were just afraid that he didn't want to see you. You waited impatiently in the living room, circulating through your various social medias while your leg bounced nervously.

All too soon, you heard the keys jingling in the lock, signifying the return of the person who used to be the number one person in your life. You stood up, making your way slowly over to the door, trying to stall seeing your curly haired friend.

" (y/n) we're home!" Your mom called, looking around before smiling as her eyes landed on you. She walked in, followed by your father, and finally, Wyatt. The boy shuffled in, eyes cast on the ground, looking maybe as nervous as you were feeling.

"Hey, Wyatt," you said softly, bringing the boy's gaze up to your own. He sent a shy smile your way, slowly walking over to you.

"Hey, y/n. How have you been?" he asked, as you both sat down on the couch. For the next couple of hours, the two of you talked and caught up while you finished that weekend's homework. Before you knew it, your eyes were drooping from exhaustion, and you were completely ready for bed.

---

After changing into an oversized t-shirt and some shorts for bed, you waited for Wyatt to get comfortable before you turned out the lights, feeling your way blindly back to the bed. You settled in on your usual side, an uncomfortable amount of space in between you and Wyatt. Both of you were laying rigid, scared of doing something wrong and embarrassing the hell out of yourself in the process.

"Uh, night, Wy," you said, using the nickname you used to call him by when you two were closer than now.

"Night (y/n/n)," he mumbled, rolling over and shutting his eyes, trying to ignore the fact that he was sleeping in a girl's bed. With a girl. And that girl happened to be you.

You closed your eyes, trying to will yourself to fall asleep, though it was pretty hard because you couldn't ignore the fact that you were sharing your bed tonight. Sighing, you snuggled your pillow closer, trying to empty your mind.

Eventually, you must have fallen asleep, because the next thing you knew, you were waking up due to loads of moving beside you. You sat up groggily, rubbing your eyes and trying to get them to adjust in the darkness. Finally, when you were able to see, you looked over to see that all the moving was Wyatt thrashing about in his sleep. He had an expression of pure fear, and was mumbling broken cries for help that barely reached your ears.

"oh, he must be having a nightmare," you mumbled to yourself, trying to think of what you could do. You started gently shaking his shoulders, trying to wake him up.

"Wyatt, it's me, (y/n). You're having a nightmare. Come on, Wy, wake up! Wyatt!" you whisper-yelled, trying to wake the boy up, but also trying not to notify your parents. You tried this for a couple minutes more, before Wyatt suddenly shot up in bed, breathing heavily.

"Hey, it's okay, it was just a nightmare," you said soothingly, wrapping Wyatt in what you hoped to be a comforting hug. After a few seconds, Wyatt's arms feebly wrapped around yours, and you could feel that his body was still shaking. After a minute or so, Wyatt spoke up.

"Thank you. For comforting me and waking me up and stuff. I guess for even talking to me. I haven't been the greatest friend to you a-and i'm really s-sorry," Wyatt started apologizing, and you could tell he was getting worked up again. You grabbed his face gently in your hands turning him to you.

"Hey, Wy, don't worry about it! You've been busy following your dreams, I get it. You and I? We're still friends, okay? Nothing that has happened will change that," you said sincerely, looking into his eyes. In an instant, Wyatt's lips were on yours, kissing you hard. Your eyes fluttered closed, a grin overtaking your face.

"You know, I don't think I could love anyone more than I love you right now,"he breathed, after you broke apart.
