they watch the houses burn
and not one of them goes in
to save the last of the surviving
with no pain evident in their souls
one by one they leave the scene
acting as if nothing had occurred
people are too afraid to get involved in things when there's a chance of them getting hurt in the end. and it's cycle - it seems as if the screaming ones will never get their rescuer. (i also apologize for the lack updates! i suck at being active in books.)
