33 3 5

during moments of brokenness,
abandonment, regret, and dread
i doubted his existence and
unacknowledged his presence

i relied on myself to fix the issue
and depended on myself to repair
what had been torn apart to pieces
but it did not, at all, work out well

fear and hatred tainted my heart
and i was lost, without a home
i had no comfort or assurance
no help or assistance in what i did

- but, i did, i just refused to see it
he was there, he was always there
i took the wheel, but i did not, even once, let him have a go or try at it

now, i surrender up myself to you
and i trust your plans for my future
my heart is heavy like lead, my mind weightless, but with you, i can take on anything

jesus still

SISLEY SPEAKS. // this poem is about god. based on other people's experiences and my own, kinda. not one of my best poems but the message weaved into this is just so pErSonAl to me so it hits hard. if you don't agree with my beliefs, that's ok, freedom of religion right but if you have nothing nice to say about it, just be quiet. thank you ❤️
