Cass

"So we all go out tomorrow and look for Georgie and Teddy?" I asked. Teddy was my baby brother's nickname, and since there was already an Eddie in with the losers, I thought it would just be easier to call him by the name.

"Yeah, we meet them by the library again."

"What time?" I asked, wanting to know how early i'd have to go to sleep. Bill and I were already lying on our backs on his bed, talking about whatever.

"7:00 ish."

"Oh yeah, that way we all have the whole day to look for them."

"We should probably sleep now then." He smiled tiredly and sat up, looking at the clock. It was 11:30.

"Yeah, probably." I stood up from the spot on his bed and he did the same.

"I'll take the floor." We both said at the same time. He looked at me, flustered for some reason. "Cass, you can't sleep on the floor. You're the guest."

"Bill, you can't sleep on the floor. You're the host." I mocked his tone.

"Well, I guess i'm not sleeping." He folded his arms.

"Well, I guess i'm going home." I folded mine.

"Wait! I'll sleep on the bed, but you can't sleep on the floor." He lay down on the bed.

"Where the heck do I sleep then, genius? The bath tub?" I laughed and a look of seriousness flashed across his face. He patted the spot next to him, making me furrow my eyebrows.

"No f-funny business, I swear." I heard how heard it was for him to hold back his stutter. He smiled, making me do the same. I lay down on the bed next to him, we were facing eachother. I didn't know what to do, he just stared deep into my eyes and I did the same back. It was nice, but the moment was ruined when we accidentally headbutted each other because I was scared shit-less by the sound of static on the walkie talkie. I put my hand against my forehead, but before we could both laugh, we heard Richie on the other end of the talkie.

"If anyone's awake, I just wanted to let you know, I just trapped my wang in the zipper of my trousers. That. Shit. Hurt!" He laughed and soon enough the other boys chimed in.

"Didn't think it was big enough for that sort of problem." Stan scoffed.

"Nice, Tozier." Mike agreed.

"You probably have more problems than that, say, an STD?" Eddie mocked. Here we go. An argument.

"Yeah from your mom maybe?" Richie laughed, and before I could hear anything else of the petty squabble, Bill was across the room, pulling the batteries out of the walkie talkie. He lay back down next to me, on our sides, facing once again, and I was still trying to contain my laughter. "Yeah. Welcome to the losers club."

"Pleasure to be here, Denbrough." I closed my eyes. It would be a lie if I said I wasn't tired. After everything today, you'd think I would be upset. I was, but I knew there was no point in it. Teddy and Georgie were okay so there was no point moping. We had to take action and secretly, I think Bill felt the same.

I felt the hair, that was once fanned across my face, tucked behind my ears. Bill. I loved it when people played with my hair, so I wasn't gonna open my eyes and tell him to stop, it was actually relaxing. I felt him shuffle closer to me, and I reached my arm out, wrapping it around his waist and pulling myself closer to him, there was barely an inch between us now. Bill was around 7 inches taller than me as I was only 5 foot, so because of his height, my head fit perfectly under his. I dug my face into his chest and breathed in his scent, as he was still running his fingers through my hair.
