Cass

"Mom? Dad?" Bill called throughout the house as we both entered. I'd never met Bill's mom and dad, they were busy with police during the day and at night, who knows where they were.

"In here." I heard a voice call from the kitchen that must've been Bill's mothers. I gulped, for some reason I was nervous to meet Bill's parents. I didn't know why, it's not as if I was his girlfriend or anything, it's not as if i'm a bad kid, even if I was, there's no need to impress his parents. Bill must've sensed my nerves, he reached and and grabbed my hand, giving me a heartwarming smile and pulling me through the hallway into the kitchen.

"And who's this?" His mother smiled. It was obvious she was his mom, the similarity between them was to obvious to dismiss.

"This, is Cass. Cass C-Corcoran."

She frowned at the mention of my last name. "I know that name. You're Eddie's sister."

"Yeah." I smiled sadly at my little brother's memory.

"Well, Bill's father and I have been staying in Vermont with an investigator for a while, and he thinks Eddie and Georgie are both okay. We're hopeful." She smiled, standing from her seat, face to face with Bill and I. It was a smile, yes, but similar to Bill, she still held a pained expression. She was broken, like a porcelain doll, and her sorrow was peeking through the cracks ever so slightly.

"Well m-mom, Cass' parents have h-had an," Bill searched for an appropriate word. "Accident. They're in hos-spital and I was wonder-ring if she could s-st-tay with us for a little whil-le?"

"Of course, son. Of course. Cass are you okay with that?"

"Yeah, of course. Thank you, Mrs Denbrough. Thank you." I smiled, first at the lady in front of me, then at the boy beside me.

"I t-told you she'd let you st-tay." Bill pulled me into a tight hug. "It's gon-na be fine."

"Well, i'm just gonna go home and get a few things," I smiled. "Thank you so much for letting me stay."

"A friend of Bill's is always welcome. Especially a girl." She smirked at her son as he glared at her, obviously embarrassed.

"I'll be back." I laughed, tapping Bill's shoulder, and making my across to my own house. Once in there, I got a gym bag and threw my clothes in, anything I could put my hands on.

"Cass?" I heard the front door creak open and Bill's soft voice bounded through the empty house. "Yeah?" I pulled the bag onto my shoulder, swiftly throwing my duvet cover onto my bed in a neater state then before.

"The guys wanna see you!" He called. I ran downstairs and out of the door, locking it behind me.

"Show us that ugly face of yours!" Richie teased.

"Says you, frog face." I smirked. This kid, who'd have know he'd be like a brother to me in such a short amount of time.

"How are you holding up?" Mike smiled.

"I'm okay, Hanlon. They'll be fine, I know they will. It's not like they can leave Teddy and I on our own." I hugged Mike, he always showed so much care and trust me, if I could give him the world, i'd give him that and much more.

"We wanna know if we can come and visit them with you?" Stan smiled.

"Sure, but I don't know whe-"

"My m-mom said she can t-take yo-ou." Bill interrupted.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"I'm s-sure. But o-only 5 in the c-car, 6 at m-most."

"Ugh, y-know, my mom wouldn't be happy if she knew if was prancing around near infected beings, so i'll just go home. You guys, by all means can catch all the infections you want." Eddie raised his hands in surrender.
