Cass

Bill and I had finished our cocoa by now and we made our way upstairs to his room. I now sat on his bed, fidgeting with my walkie talkie. "God dammit." I muttered quietly.

"What?" Bill spun around in his desk chair.

"I think I broke my walkie talkie somehow." It was no longer working and the antenna was also kind of bent.

"So you can't radio us anymore?" He asked.

"It appears not." I hit the side of my talkie, which apparently fixes everything in my experience. I finally gave up and set it down on the bed. "I'm gonna go to my house and take a shower, get some stuff, okay?"

"You can shower here." He seemed nervous.

"Okay, but I still need to get my pj's."

"Wear something of mine. Erm, If you want." He looked down at his feet.

"Okay." I smiled.

I went into the bathroom and started undressing. "Cass?" I heard Bill call.

"Yeah?"

"You're p-pyjamas are on my bed. I'm g-gonna head out for a minute, is that ok-kay?" He asked.

"Yeah sure. Thanks Billy." And with that, I turned on the water and got in. It calmed me and made me think about today's events. Eddie and Georgie are missing. I expected tears to start rolling down my face, but thinking of the losers and I, sparked something within me. Determination. We were all heading out tomorrow to search for them. I knew they were okay, I could feel it.

When I was finished in the shower, I turned the water off and got into my robe, putting a towel on my head. I went into Bill's room and grabbed the pyjama's off of the bed, quickly disappearing back into the bathroom. He wasn't home yet. I began pulling on Bill's clothes. It was a pair of grey shorts and a flannel shirt. He'd also left me his school jersey, with '24 DENBROUGH' on the back in bold print. I heard the door slam downstairs and heavy footsteps running up the stairs.

I pulled the towel off of my head and came out of the bathroom just in time to be greeted by Bill, kneeling by his bed with his back to me, sliding something underneath it. "Hey." I greeted and he looked startled.

"Hey." He quickly stood up.

"What was that?" I gestured to the thing under the bed.

"Nothing important." He smiled and I let it be. I knew if he didn't wanna tell me, he didn't have too, but something also made me trust him. It was like we had known each other our whole lives. "How about some music?" He pointed at his boombox that was next to a stack of cassette tapes and I walked up to him as he was browsing the tapes. I stood on my tiptoes and I put my chin on his shoulder, scanning the tapes with him. "What do you want?" He asked.

"Surprise me." I looked away and heard the click of the cassette slot being closed. I smiled when I heard the first beat to the human league's 'don't you want me'. "I love this song."

"You were working as a waitress in a cocktail bar, when I met you!" I turned around and Bill was shouting the lyrics at me, along with some over the top gestures and a pair of black sunglasses, I decided to join in. He put his hands on my hips and spun me around, before dancing with me again. We went through about 500 years of traditional dancing from around the world. Salsa, Tango, Waltz, Bill even tried the sprinkler, which made me laugh quite alot.

"I was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar, that much is true!" I shouted but then I heard a quiet whispering  from somewhere in the room. I assume that Bill heard it too and he turned the tape off, looking around in confusion.

"Quiet, dickweed. They're getting somewhere." I heard the small whisper and Bill and I both looked at eachother. Only one person said dickweed, and that was Stanley referring to Richie. Bill eyes darted across the room to his walkie talkie, laying on it's side. Of course, the button was pushed in, which meant the guys could hear everything. Bill looked at me and smirked. He gestured between us and made a heart shape with his hands and I nodded in response.

Bill put his hand to his mouth and made an insanely loud kissing noise. "Oh, Cass! I know I only just met you today, but gosh you're so perfect!" The guys were listening in hopes that Bill and I would 'get somewhere', so we had to put on a show for them.

"Oh, Billy! I feel the same way about you!" I shouted, putting my hands over my heart and trying to suppress my laughter. "We can't tell the guys about this!" I smiled.

"I'm sure they already know considering they've been listening the whole time." Bill deadpanned, picking up the walkie talkie. "Come on guys. Not cool."

"Bill, my man. That was so smooth what you did, using us to get the girl, huh?" Richie spoke.

"Richie, it was a set up." Stanley huffed. "They knew we were listening."

"Aw that's so sweet. They wanted us to be there for the special moment." Richie spoke, but he wasn't kidding.

"You, Richie Tozier, are one dumb kid." Eddie spoke up.

"I know, my mom tells me that all the time."
