Chapter 17

A/N:  I'm   going   to   try   something    new,   I   am   going   to   post   a  chapter   in   Max's   POV...

Kissing Aurora is like nothing I have ever felt before. Her lips are soft and fit perfectly with mine. If I could kiss her all the time I would. If her mother wasn't around all the time it could be different..Maybe. If Beth wasn't such a bitch I could have Aurora wrapped around my finger.

That  is if. she  even likes. me.

I know she doesn't. She thinks I'm the worst person ever. I wish she didn't think that. She thinks I enjoy ignoring her she thinks I'm using her. I'm not..I genuinely enjoy being around her. I wish she could understand that I just can't be around. I wish I could tell her.. If Aurora and I spend more then ten minutes alone in a room Beth will kick Tinsley and I out on our asses. As much as I know I'm probably hurting her..I can't put my daughter in jeopardy. It just pisses me off.

I got back to the house and Blake was looking at me with a smug smile. "What's been going on between you two?"

I glared at him.."Don't be suspicious." I said and walked up to check on Tinsley.

"Max, are you taking Haily tonight?" Liam asks walking into my room.

"No." I said.

"It might get Beth off your case. If you start seeing someone." He said. "And Haily genuinely likes you."

Liam always tries to do this. He has a good heart, but he honestly gives me the biggest headaches. The truth is..any one but Aurora makes me want to scream. When I first met her, she was beautiful but my God.. she was a fucking pain. She only complained and bitched about everyone in this house..and while she still does that, I feel like I know her better and I think she is just a little lost right now.  Her dad died, Layla is--I don't even know what to call her. Her boyfriend looks like he could be gay, but he actually isn't and cheated with her sister, the person she was closest to for years, only married her father because he was sick and she knew he would die soon. She was poor and needed the money she would get from the house. I understand why she acts how she does.

''Max, Beth is breathing down your neck constantly." Liam says

"Liam, I know..God damn!" I said annoyed.

He threw his hands in the air. "Just trying to help man.'' He said.

I rolled my eyes. I need to stop loosing my temper on everyone. Especially Aurora.

''I know, but I don't want a relationship."

"Just think about it man. Haily would be up for it, and you would get Beth off your back.''

I refuse to do this. Not only would I hate it, but I would be using Haily and that isn't right.

"No, Liam.'' I said.

He shrugged his shoulders. ''Can I wake Tinsley up? I don't want to be up all night.''

I nodded. ''Yeah, just wait until I'm gone.''

He nodded and left my room.

"Max, I thought you wouldn't be here tonight.'' Blake says wrapping his arm around my shoulders and leading me into the oversized house. There were probably just under 50 people.

"Yeah, neither did I."

"Well, Greg wants to see you." He said.

I stopped walking and looked at him. "No."
