Max
I can't think right. Aurora is easily one if the most important people in my life. When I met her, I never knew I would fall in love with her.
It started with her smile. Then her voice. Then her eyes. I didn't know it then, but now I do.
She is the love of my life, and I want nothing more then to tell her that. But instead I'm running away from her. Now would be the best time to sit with her and tell her everything. She deserves to know why Greg wants to hurt her and why I have been so distant, but how can I tell her that stuff when I don't even know myself?
I'm setting Greg and his father up, hoping to get my answers, then I'm taking Tinsley and going so far away, I'll never have to hurt her again. The day she met me was the day her life was put in danger. Leaving is the best way to insure she will be safe from the dangers I've brought into her life.
I just have to figure some things out. I need to figure out how Greg knew I had connections to Rich. Then I need to find out why he wanted me and how he could possibly know that I knew Aurora, let alone fell in love with her when I didn't even know myself..
Then maybe I can come back and tell her everything. But for right now I only care about keeping her safe.
Something I have failed to do.
I can see the lights that fill Greg's drive way as I pull up to his house. I knew it wouldn't be empty. I should have waited until tomorrow to come, but that dumbass more then likely ignored me and came to look through Greg's things.
When I get out I flash my ID to the thugs Greg has standing outside his door. They let me walk by without hesitation. They aren't helping Greg. They are helping me.
The taller one..Theo, he nods at me and let's me walk through..The fatter one Josh acts like he doesn't see me.
Inside I look around to see if Blake is here or even Sam. But if Greg isn't here Blake won't be. Sam is either still taking her days off or is with them. Planning on how to take down their spies. If only they knew their spy was one of their most loyal friends.
If only they knew I wasn't their friend.
Once I see they aren't here I turn for Greg's office. I look over my shoulder once to make sure no one is watching then I duck into the office.
When I walk inside I'm taken by surprise, even if I came here suspecting this would happen . I sigh and throw the closest object to the ground, which happened to be a lamp making the room darker. The office is empty but Greg stands beside him. he stands with a gun pressed to his head and he is tied to chair.
"Damn it Jai!" I yelled. "I told you to stay away tonight."
Jai looked up at Greg. "I would love to argue with you but there is a gun pressed to my head so I'm going to stay quiet." He says then shrugs. "Sorry buddy."
I have half a mind to shoot him myself. He and I have been working together to keep Aurora safe for three months. For three months he listened to me, he helped me plan this very day. But he picks tonight to decide not to listen to me.
What is it with that family, and there problem with authority?
"Max what are you doing man?" Greg asks.
"You already know Greg, so let me save my breath. " I said.
He smiled and tapped the gun on Jai's ear. Jai tensed up and squeezed his eyes shut.
"If you're going to kill me, could you get it over with now?" He asked in a cocky/scared way.
Greg chuckled. "Don't tempt me. I don't take well to idiots looking around my stuff."
