Max

The more I watch Greg the more secretive he gets around me. He whispers things and looks over at me after every conversation he has.

"Maxwell!" Blake says tapping my shoulder.

I turn to look at him. He was carting in a big cart of our new shipment from London. Greg's dad makes illegal booze and sends it to us to sell. It's been outlawed in London so we have to sell it here. Along with our drugs and hookers. Don't let me forget the millions of orphans we house every time their parents die of an accident.

I hate Greg. I hate this place and I hate my life here. Three years ago I thought this place was royalty. Everyone was accepting and warm hearted. Lissa and I loved everyone here. Until Lissa died and I realized what was actually going on.

Greg was raising up fearless fighters and pimps, for what reason I don't know.

"Greg needs you to meet him at the wear house." Says a man whi never looks me in the eye.

I nodded and walked to the bathroom to send a message.

I grabbed the prepaid phone I had hidden under the sink and texted:

Greg is acting sketchy. More so now then usual. Start bugging his office. We need to know what is going on.

After it was sent I threw it to the ground shattering it to a million pieces. It's been used to much already.

After it was cleaned up I walked out to my new car that Blake had Greg buy shortly after my trip to the woods,  and drove out to the wear house.

Aurora

I roll my eyes at the thought of Max. Then I scoff at myself for rolling my eyes because I can't even convince myself I hate him.

But lately I'm not sure. Tinsley is still gone with Bill and Max is acting like a serial killer. He dresses in dark colors and has scruff growing on his chin and under his nose. He is just acting freakishly weird.

"I am so tired." Jai said flinging himself across my lap after looking intently at his phone.

I squealed as his cold wet body made my warm dry body freeze.

"You are wet!" I say and push him off my lap making him crash to the floor.

"Ow!" He said and pushed himself off the floor as Jaxson walked in. His t-shirt sticking to his wet chest.

His eyes flashing me a secret smile as he looked from Jai to me. He had a straight face until he walked over, placing his cold wet butt on my lap.

I laughed and tried to push him but he was to strong to push off. So I tickled his sides making him wiggle around until he fell onto his side landing on the couch laughing. We all laughed until we watched Max walk right pass us and up the steps.

"Well don't let me ruin the party." He says sarcastically from the top of the steps.

I looked at Jaxson, who didn't look annoyed by this stranger being so rude, but more hurt then ever.

I'd had enough. I stood up and marched to the top of the steps, and with out knocking on his door I walked right into Max's room.

He was pulling his shirt over his head as I walked in, stopping by the door. I almost forgot what I was about to say.

"Can I help you?" He asked flinging his shirt into the laundry bin.

I couldn't take my eyes off his body. It was bruised and he has a tattoo. It was fresh. He had never had one before. Except for a small hardly there tattoo of Tinsley's initials under his arm.
