It had been two weeks since I had left hospital only going back for regular check ups, all of which Taehyung insisted to join me on. They regularly consisted of the three of us including my mom to speak to my doctor, tests performed every so often to watch my vitals. The hushed discussions between the doctors seemed to go unnoticed throughout the ward, but never to me. Even in their silent whispers I could hear the sympathy and pity in their voices, always saying the same thing. I assumed they would discuss my health with my mom, yet she had never spoke to me about any of it.

My eyes wandered around the hospital as I waited for my mom to finish talking, a smile on her face as she laughed with the doctor. Despite the early morning, Taehyung had insisted on coming with us no matter how many times I told him it was fine. He yawned and rested his head on my shoulder, his eyes closed as he sat propped up against me. I chuckled and reached for his hand, intertwining her fingers together. His hand was so big in mine, almost completely hiding it. I smiled at the thought, my thumb tracing shapes and pictures on his skin. He lifted our hands up to his face, kissing mine before letting it rest in his lap.
"Tae?" I whispered, tilting my head slightly so my lips faced his long hair.
"Yeah?" He whispered back, his face slightly below mine.
"Can you come with me tonight?" I asked, rubbing my fingers through his hair as I brushed the stray bits down.
"What's tonight?" He asked, a childlike confusion on his face as he frowned.
"The dinner with my moms boss"
"I'll come" he said, kissing my nose. I smiled and rested my head on top of his, sighing slightly.

When we got back my mom continued to vent her excitement about her boss meeting me and his daughter, I couldn't help but smile hearing her happy tone.
"We'll leave around 6:30, is Taehyung coming?" She asked, cleaning the counter.
"Yeah he is" a wave of butterflies appearing in my stomach at the sound of his name, a smile tugging on my lips.
"Okay, go get ready please and wear something smart" She said, smiling at me as she moved to the sink. I nodded and went upstairs, heading straight to the wardrobe.

My outfit was simple and elegant, my curled hair complementing the colour of the dress. As I smoothed out the wrinkles I leant over to my phone, typing in a message.

6:02pm

Me:
Are you ready?

TaeTae 💗:
Almost

I chuckled slightly and shook my head, smiling to myself. My eyes drifted to the window, straight through into his. The timing was almost humorous as I looked over, right in the moment Taehyung was pulling his shirt over his head to reveal his well toned body. Even from the distance between the two windows I could perfectly make out his abs and warm toned skin, a dark red blush rushing to my cheeks. I couldn't seem to peel my eyes away as he changed into a new and smarter shirt, slowly doing up the buttons. I watched for a bit longer until I realised what I was doing, shaking my head along with the thoughts. I quickly finished my makeup and headed downstairs, waiting in the living room. Moments passed before my mom left her room, walking into the kitchen and grabbing her purse. She was dressed in a pretty blue dress and small black heels, accompanied by a silver purse that hung at her side. She straightened her naturally curly hair and applied soft makeup to her young complexion. Anyone would recognise her beauty instantly, it was almost mesmerising.
"You look beautiful" I complimented, standing up and following her to the door. She smiled and looked at herself shyly.
"Really?" She asked, smoothing the fabric and adjusting her clothes.
"Yes stop worrying" I said, moving her hands away. We stood outside and walked to the car, my mom getting in while I made my way to his house and waited by his door. Soon after he came out and we got into the car, driving down unfamiliar roads into an expensive neighbourhood.

A middle aged man opened the door to the large house, greeting us all and pulling us into a quick hug. He exchanged a few words with my mom before introducing himself and inviting us inside. The house was one that resembled luxury, the walls painted a royal blue and the furniture being one that seemed expensive. He led us into a dining room, a round table in the centre that contained all sorts of different foods. The man I now knew as Lee Soonyun had a young daughter, Lee Sohye who was only 9 years old. She resembled her father very noticeably, both sharing the same jet black hair and dark eyes. There was no denying she was pretty for such a young age.

As we ate we all engaged in friendly conversation, jokes being shared between the five of us as we continued to eat our food. Taehyung spoke a lot to the older man, conversing mainly about the entertainment companies he was interested in. They shared such common ground, Mr Lee ushering Taehyung to audition to these companies. The longer we talked, the more comfortable I felt. I couldn't help but smile seeing how happy they all were.
