When waking up I silently thanked god that it was a Friday, meaning after school I was free for two days. Getting through the day seemed easier on Fridays, everything was more chilled out and calmer. I sat up and grabbed my phone, silencing the alarm that was blaring in the small room. My hair was astray and slightly wavy from sleep. I rubbed my eyes and looked over at the curtains that draped against the large window, pulling them open causing the light to flood in. I slipped the window open and looked out, only to see the neighbouring curtains draw. I walked over to the wardrobe and opened it up, picking out a simple outfit for school.

I looked at my hair in the full length mirror and decided to place a black cap over it, tucking the fringe away. I applied a winged eyeliner to my eyes along with some mascara and grabbed my phone along with my black bag and sketch book, tucking them both safely inside. I chose to skip breakfast like most mornings and headed straight for the door, knowing my mom wouldn't be home.

As I left I heard a second door close, making me turn around to see who else was awake at this time. There he was, Taehyung, walking out of his house with a black back pack on his shoulder as he walked down the same path. That was stupid, obviously he's going to be the only other person awake because you go to the same school. You mentally rolled your eyes and kept walking but now at a faster pace. Everyday before school I would take a detour from the school route, heading to a little empty road beside the train tracks that ran through the city. I loved the scenery there, it was my favourite spot to draw. I didn't want anyone else to know about it.

I sped up my steps and took a turn, heading through the trees into the abandoned road and where the wooden pellets sat unattended. I looked over my shoulder and sighed out of relief when noticing he hadn't seen me change path. There was 15 minutes before school started and the walk was short, leaving me with enough time to do a quick sketch of the tracks. Once I was satisfied I began to walk back to the school, heading in through the doors with only a handful of other students. When I opened the door I was the last to arrive before the teacher. I weaved in and out of the aisles to my now shared seat to see Taehyung asleep on the desk, his head buried in his elbow. As I sat down he opened up one eye and looked over at me before closing it again.
"Hello sketchbook girl" He said quietly, his voice raspy and deep. I ignored him and emptied my bag onto the table.
"Park Areum" He spoke up, his eyes looking somewhere else. My head snapped up in his direction as he said my name.
"Is that your name?" He asked, his question probably already answered from my reaction.
"Who told you?" I asked, slightly irritated.
"No one, it's on your sketchbook" My gaze travelled down to the front of the black pad, my name engraved in gold cursive letters in the corner. His hand reached out to touch it but I swiftly yanked it away out of his reach, causing him to pout.
"You don't talk much" He said swivelling his body so he was facing me.
"I don't like talking"
"Why?"
"I don't like people"
"Why?"
I sighed, clenching my teeth to stop myself from getting irritated. He must have noticed as a playful grin played on his lips.
"Why were you in my house yesterday?"
"Why do you ask so many questions?"
"Touché" He said, sitting upright.
"But seriously," He continued, waiting for my answer.
"I was helping your mom put away some boxes and then you came running down the hall like the other two kids would" I replied, opening the sketchbook.
"Yeah" He chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. He resembled a puppy when he was embarrassed, like a very lost puppy. I smiled at the thought and brought out a pencil from my pocket, bringing it to the paper. With every hand stroke his eyes seemed to be fixed on my hands moving across the book. He was so focused on the drawing he would be oblivious to me sneaking glances at his concentrated face, causing me to bite back an amused grin. I paused, letting my hand rest as I stared at him. I cleared my throats and he looked up at me, smiling sheepishly.
"Sorry" he apologised, leaning his chin in his large palm. I diverted my eyes and closed the book, leaving it abandoned beside me as I folded my arms and rested my head against them.
"Have you been there?" He asked, breaking the silence.
"Been where?" I asked, keeping my eyes closed.
"To the place in your drawing" He said, mimicking my position and tilting his head so it faced mine.
"Yes" He bit his lip and his eyebrows furrowed.
"Say it" I said, causing his eyes to snap up at me.
"What?" He asked, his face going blank.
"Whatever you're not sure if you should say" I answered, lifting my pen up to my hand, drawing in the numbers '212'. He watched me carefully before his eyes met mine.
"Can you take me?" He asked, a childish smile creeping onto his face.
"Why?"
"It's pretty and I don't know anywhere in this city" He explained, almost impatient for my answer.
"No"
"Please Areumm" He whined, a frown replacing his smile.
"I said no"
"Areummm" He repeated slightly louder this time, attracting the attention of some students nearby.
"Seriously Taehyung shut up, the teacher will hear you" I said, rolling my eyes. He smirked, an idea popping into his head.
"AR-" I clapped my hand over his mouth, stopping him before he made any noise.
"Fine but I swear to god after this you stop annoying me" I replied, glaring at him. He nodded, my hand still over his mouth. A warm wet object came into the contact of my palm, making me squeal and pull my hand away quickly. The teachers head swivelled into my direction, giving us a questionable look.
"Is everything alright Miss Park?"
"Yes" I replied, biting the insides of my mouth.
"Good, then please stay quiet" I nodded and turned my head forward until she looked away.
"I can't believe you licked my hand that is so disgusting!" I whisper shouted throwing him a scowl, only making him grin.
