"Hurry on now. We're late" father grumbled stroking his beard with his hook. I huffed in annoyance and led the way with Karma on my side. It was weird being back in the enchanted forest. it might have been a few months, but it's changed a lot.

The docks were empty as always since people would know in advance that my fathers crew would arrive. And as anyone would know my father is the most well known pirate out there, after captain Sparrow of course.

I glared at the people who looked up at us walking down the small town next to the docks. Many people were rushing to get inside not wanting to deal with us. Others were whispering stuff like it's the the tailless mermaid. What surprised me more was that my father didn't stop by the tavern this time. Seems like he was actually trying to get somewhere in time for once.

From past events I made my way to the front right next to my father and Mr. Smee.

"Hey old man, are you alright?" I questioned worried as to why we just past the tavern without him having a couple drinks. He looked at me than at Smee and kept quiet. I placed my right hand on his forehead which was indeed not warm. He swatted of my hand in embarrassment.

We made it to the horses and the carriage that would take us to our stop aka to the dark castle. After letting Karma in I took a seat right across my father who began blabbering about how Rumplestiltskin would be furious of our late arrival. I zoned out a couple of times looking out the carriage and towards a couple of villages that were scattered here and there.

I woke up shivering since we had already made it to the section of the enchanted forest where Rumplestiltskin was.

"Why are we here again. I thought we already gave him our debt" I said cuddling with a sleepy Karma.

"He owes me something Melina" he replied shifting around his seat while looking at a map.

"You mean you owe him something" I corrected him arching my eyebrow knowing I was right.

"Well would you look at that. We're here" he answered pissed off. I pushed the door open and made my way out with my father. The castle had a very gloomy feeling to it, I mean it's called the dark castle after all.

"Please come in" a young girl possibly in her early twenties said answering the door. She had long brown hair with bright blue eyes. Confused I walked inside with the rest of the crew. She led us to a room that was too familiar.

"If it isn't the one and only Captain Hook" Rumple laughed out turning around to look at us. He's still like what I remember. An old scaly 'man'.

"Oh look at you dearie" he exclaimed trailing his long pointy fingers up my face. My dad used his hook to stop him from his actions.

"I see you've been busy" I pointed at the girl who was standing by the door looking at us. She looked scared to death even when she tried to fake smile at us.

"Oh yes, Belle" the way he said her name made me feel sorry for her. Nobody should be held captive as a prisoner for another. I wonder what happened to the other girls.

My father let the rest of his member off only keeping me and Karma by his side.

"About the deal Rumple. Do you have it?" My father asked walking up to him. I sighed propping myself on one of the old chairs that were placed around the long dinner table. Karma laid down and fell asleep under the table as my feet stroked his sides.

"Pssst" my small gesture made the girl look at me. With my hands I told her to come closer. She shook her head so I stood up and quietly made my way to her.

"What's your name?"

"Belle"

"Why are you here Belle?" I was curious to see why Rumple needed another prisoner. It was most likely for me to become great friends with the girls he would keep so I'd make them feel more comfortable.

"It's my father" her accent was very clear and made me jealous. If anything I had my moms looks and my fathers charm, but his accent. I made an o with my mouth as my response to her answer. Poor girl.

"Can't I just have her stay here for a longer period of time?"

"That's not how this works"

Now that they were distracted I grabbed Belle's hand and placed my pointer finger in front of my mouth. The doors were partially opened so I opened it more ever so slightly so the both of us could get out.

"Come on let's go wander around" I told her directing her towards the rest do the castle.

"I heard there was a library around here. Can we go search for it?" She said, this time with a real smile plastered on her face.

"Of course mate" I shrieked happily. It was great being around another girl and interacting with her. Usually my time on board would be taking care of the drunk sailors and playing poker with them.

"Over here" we both ran to the humongous double doors. We each pushed open one door to be confronted by many books and shelves.

We looked at each other and departed in different ways. There were many books that contained spells, now I can practice more of my magic. As I was reaching for a book on a high shelf I though I heard someone whisper my name.

I stopped and looked at Belle who was casually reading a book all the way in the corner. I shrugged it off thinking that I was being paranoid again due to the events that were happening to me.

After many attempts I finally reached the book and skimmed through the pages. Many spells I had known and others I was yet to perfect.

"Melina" my head shut up right away when I heard that voice again. I gulped before I asked Belle if she said my name. She said no and continued reading.

What creeped me out more was the fact that my name was being called out repeatedly and when it got louder at a point I saw that there was a small gap between one of the shelves that seemed to be connected to a room.

Belle was too distracted so she wouldn't know I've I was gone or not. I placed the book down and made my way to the room. It was dark at first, but a small light was enough to guide me in.

The name calling stopped when I stood in front of a small wooden podium with a thick book placed on top of it.

It was as if something took over my body. My hands moved towards it with out me even noticing it. The book captured me in a strange way that made me eager to read it.

The book had a normal cover that was made out of leather. The words didn't look like they were written on, instead carved in.

Neverland.
