"I think Melina should really be heading back" Ariel interrupted her sister grabbing onto my hand. We were all in the middle of dinner when I realized how much trouble I'd be in with Pan.
"Melina is Killian here?" Triton grunted getting up too. The girls all snickered and raised their eyebrows at the mention of my father.
"My father's currently not with me" I stayed feeling the same hurt come to me.
"But she really needs to go" Ariel added on swimming to the entrance.
"Oh but Melina you should stay, after all your one of us" Arabella, the 4th daughter smiled.
"She's still human!" Ariel bursted out. She covered her mouth humiliated and stayed silent.
"Being honest I don't understand how I became a mermaid" I confessed looking at their disappointed faces. Triton nodded as if he understood.
"The necklace Melina, you sang to it causing its powers to activate" he says, "In order to reverse it you sing, except you replace the sea with the earth" he finished looking down at his plate.
"Ariel take her back, she needs to go home" King Triton glumly said. I waved bye to the girls. As I neared the entrance I looked back to see King Triton smiling at me.
Ariels green tail moved in front of me. The city darkened signifying that it was night time.
"What a day huh" I tried conversing to Ariel after a long silent period. It was very quiet so that why she hadn't respond or maybe she was ignoring me.
The space closed and soon we reached the lake. Ariel gave me a reassuring smile.
"Well I'm glad I'm best friends with my niece" she laughed at the surface of the water. I joined her.
"Yeah. Well goodbye, take care Ariel" I said. Soon I saw her rich green tail disappear into the cold water. I swam on my back just wanting to move around before transforming back.
The trees rustled against the harsh wind. The tiny water ruffles hit my back nicely.
"Melina get out of the water, I've been looking for you" I closed my eyes ignoring Pans command and stayed in the water.
"Unless you want me to get you out of there myself, I want to you out" he ordered.
"Nope" I said popping the p. I looked at his shadowed figure. He can't see me like this I thought. Should I sing it now or wait till he leaves.
