The sunlight knifed its way into the tent waking me up right away. I tried getting up, but was pulled down by a strong force. Confused, I looked to my left to see Peter lightly snoring and a small trail of drool in the corner of his mouth.
"Peter it's time to wake up" I grinned shaking him and trying to pry his arms off. He groaned and strengthened his grip on me. "Seriously Peter get up".
"No" he said into my hair.
"I have to shower" I pleaded. When nothing was working I moved to plan B and left small kisses all over his face.
"If you think that'll work think again" he squirmed around and finally opened his eyes. I laughed seeing his dried up drool in the corner of his mouth. I quickly threw the covers over him and ran into the bathroom. Once I was finished I walked out all dressed up.
"Hurry the boys are waiting" I pulled the blankets off to see him still half asleep shirtless. I climbed onto the bed and straddled his waist so that now we were both looking at each other.
"I'll see you at breakfast" I shouted giving him a quick peck on the lips and leaving the tent. I sighed deeply taking out the scroll of paper I had snuck into my shirt. No one was at the treehouse when I arrived so I took it all the papers from under my bed.
I read over the papers and saw that there was indeed a few ways to get out. But one of the hardest ones was getting Peters permission which will never happen. There's also a spell that will give me a chance.
I bit my nails and looked at the dead flowers that were on the floor near me. What if I convinced Peter to give me back my powers? We're together after all, he should be able to do this small favor for me. Maybe I don't need him to get my powers back.
I read the spell over and over and finally gave in. With the book out I carefully read out loud the words that said would take me back home.
"Ow" I gasped quickly reaching onto my necklace. A quick, but powerful shock came from my necklace. I looked down to see the black colored shell had a small crack in the middle of it. Great now what, I'm slowly ruining the last thing my mother gave to me.
I closed the papers and books shoving them under the bed again to hid the evidence. I climbed down and went to seat myself before Peter came out. I smiled at him once he entered the camp and headed straight to me.
"So what's the plan for today?" I wanted to see if I had some extra time to gather more things for a way back home and I also wanted to have some time with him alone.
"Remember what I told you about Rumplestiltskin" I nodded slowly letting him continue "well I thought maybe today the boys could work on traps around the island incase he does decide to give us a visit" he whispered so that no one could ease drop.
"Glad to see you work that brain of yours for once" I joked nudging him. He glared at me and walked away to find Felix.
"So I see you two are still at it" Ashley sighed moving her jaw around as if something was bothering her.
"I see you've gotten back to your old self" I snarled moving past her and to the youngsters. The uncomfortable feeling of someone watching over me began again, like the same feelings from when I had nightmares. I looked up and around the camp to see the boys intrigued in their doings instead of staring at me.
I let it slide and walked pass the group and towards the direction of the mermaid lagoon. It's a possibility King Triton might help me regain my powers back, anything for his granddaughter.
I secretly transformed into my mermaid form and headed of into the lake. I was hoping that Ariel would be there today, but strange enough she wasn't there which was very odd seeing as she always love going to the surface.
I loved the way I could move around freely. As I was coming up closer to the edge of the ocean I noticed a weird section of the water that was darker than the other parts. I swam slowly towards the spot and saw something attached to the thing that was keeping it down.
I was able to see it clearly now. It was a anchor attached to a rusty metal chain that was connected to a very big ship. I stopped and turned around afraid of what would happen if I got closer. I thought there weren't any ships on this island. The only ship that has traveled here has been the Jolly Roger...
The ocean was darker than usual and even though as a mermaid I wouldn't be affected by the waters temperature it some what felt colder. Not many fishes were out swimming too. Everything felt so out of place. With that being said I swam back to the shore, uncomfortable.
I gasped and almost lost my ability to swim properly once I saw the same color I saw in that allusion spread in the water. The red liquid surrounded me in almost a tornado kind of way. I used all my strength to get out the twist and swam quickly to the shore.
I practically jumped out and once I could get a grip on my breathing, I sang the song bringing me back to my normal state. I ran out the water hoping that the water would be back to blue, but instead the red thick liquid was overwhelming the lagoon.
I wasted no time to get out of there and sprint my way to the camp. I screamed when something next to me activated itself. A trap. Not any trap, a special trap only certain people are able to make. A trap that would only activate once the person it seeks to capture is near.
This trap was too complicated for Peter to produce. This trap was made by someone who ha ether possession of sale magic. The only person I knew who held this kind of magic was Rumplestiltskin.
