I found peace in the small wooden treehouse I stayed at. The silk covered book was opened and on my lap as I scanned through the pages. I skipped dinner to search for an answer in the book. I haven't found anything yet, but I had found out a lot of useful information about Neverland.

I bit my nails anxiously reading the different pieces of information. Felix's cloak wrapped around me. Felix had given me his cloak after we arrived because it had began to rain and became cold.

I ripped out a paper that had a map of where to find the Indian tribe just in case I needed tiger Lilly's help. I sang a song to keep me company that I had heard a few months ago from when I ran into Snow White.

"You have a nice voice" my shoulders jumped in surprise. Pan smiled at me while sitting in my bed.

"Stop doing that" I glared returning back to my book. He walked towards my sitting body and sat next to me. He leaned in forward to see what I was reading before continuing.

"Should've showed you this when you where last here" he pointed to the picture and small glossary of dream shade. I scrunched up my nose and hit his hand slightly.

"It wasn't my fault I didn't know that was dream shade" I scoffed talking about the incident that left Pan without any more pixie dust.

Pan laughed and threw his head back. I smiled, but tried to hide it. Why can't he be like this all the time. It's like once he's outside his comfort zone he automatically becomes this ruthless boy.

"Sorry about your pixie dust" I mumbled skipping through pages of the book. His hands stopped mine from going on.

"It's alright, I found a little more anyways" he insured me still holding onto my hand. I awkwardly coughed and took back my hand. I closed the book and got up ready to say goodnight.

"Um, the boys and I will be leaving for a few days. I was just wondering if you'd like to join us?" He asked scratching the back of his neck. He shifted his weight between his feet awkwardly making me lose my mind to the side of Pan I never thought there was.

"If it involves me being used as another type of toy for your entertainment than no thank you" I pushed past him and headed towards the bed.

"Actually, I was thinking of allowing you to join our games" he smirked turning around on his heel. He bit his tongue, waiting patiently for my answer.

"Sure why not" as long as I don't get myself killed, I thought. I looked up at him to fall into another trance of his bright green eyes. My heart fluttered for a split second.

"Well um goodnight" he than vanished from my room leaving me alone with my thoughts. I let out an unnatural girly sequel and fell back on my bed smiling uncontrollably at this new feeling.

What the hell was this boy doing to me

I woke up happy today for no reason. Probably because you dreamt about him last night. Ugh no Melina you can't think like that. He's the enemy here, your job is to use him for a way out.

My words hurt me remembering what my plan was. I really only needed to get close to Pan so he could trust me and than possibly give me what I wanted which was to go back to my family.

I had packed another outfit and a book I found in my treehouse inside the tiny bag I was given for this trip. I had no clue what we were going to do, but I hope it'll be fun.

Everyone's going except some who are being forced to stay to look out for the camp.

"Excited?" Felix grinned throwing me an apple. I nodded and bit into the apple.

"I wonder if I still remember any of the places we're going to" I told him throwing away the core of the apple I had just destroyed.

"Hi Melina!" Noah chirped holding onto his brown bag. He gave my legs a hug since he wasn't tall enough. I laughed and returned the hug.

"Do you want to walk together?" I squated down to see him shake his head vigorously. I ruffled his brown hair and held his hand with mine. Noah proceeded to run in front of the older boys in the line so we were the ones in the front now.

I gave them a cheeky smile saying I was sorry. Finally the all mighty leader appeared with his materials ready. I looked down to get rid o the butterfly's growing in my stomach. Stop it Melina, you can't.

As we trailed down the forest me and Noah would point at the things we found amusing which was technically everything we came across. It even got to the point where Pan got annoyed and made us go to the back of the line.

"Look it's a kingfisher" I pointed to a small branch where a blue kingfisher was perched at. Noah gasped mesmerized by the colorful bird.

"My father told me it symbolizes peace and prosperity" I explained to Noah. He nodded looking at me confused.

"What's that?" He said tapping his pointer finger in his lips looking as if he was thinking.

"It means to have good fortune" I laughed looking back at the kingfisher.

"No not that, what's a father?" Noah asked skipping around still holding my hand. I stopped in my tracks letting his question hit me. What? Does he not know what a father is?

"Melina come on lets go" he groaned trying to make me walk again. I looked at him like he grew had grown another head.

"Do you really not know what a father is?" I walked towards him and continued looking at the other boys backs.

"Nope" he giggled innocently. I was shaking to say something, but I couldn't. It hurt knowing that this young child who was taken away doesn't know what a father is. I squeezed his hand.

"It's like a mother. You know what a mother is right?" I looked at him. He responded with a small yeah.

"Except he's a boy instead of a girl. And he takes care of you the same way a mother would. He loves you the same way a mother would. He'll also become one of your best friends" I responded looking emotionless at the backs of heads in front of me.

"Melina why are crying?" Noah's voice caused a few faces to turn.

"No reason" I looked away cleaning myself up.

"So is Pan like my father?" I bit my lip not wanting to say anything back at the curious youngster.

The rest of the trip consisted of me falling behind the group and a sleeping Noah being carried by Pan.
