Waking up today wasn't pleasant at all. From being stuffed into an animal cage, meeting a mermaid who seemed pretty normal and than getting whacked in the head by my childhood best friend. As you can tell life is treating me great.

Never in my life would I think I'd be kept as a prisoner and not as a guest on this island. I could feel the cold metal chains digging into the sides of my wrists leaving small red marks. My wrists were up against my back and my feet were becoming numb due to me standing too much.

The smoke hitting my nose made me go crazy slowly, as it intoxicated my body and kept making me sneeze. Boys dancing and whooping around it would be a very entertaining sight except for the fact that I'm chained up against a tree where different bugs have already been crawling their way up me.

It felt as if a hungry pack of wolves had taken over my body when the feeling in my stomach would get stronger as they ate away their dinner. Diversity was the first thing I thought when I regained conscious. Boys from 6 up to about 18 I'm guessing, were scattered everywhere taking care of their jobs.

If my memories were still clear enough, I had seen about a quarter of them back than when they looked after my younger self. Felix tried to steal a couple of glances here and there, but when I looked at him he would try to act as if he just wasn't caught.

A beautiful and gentle sound began to sing out into the camp site catching many of the boys attention, including mine. The song was coming out of a bamboo flute that Pan had began to blow into it to create such a memorable sound.

His stare went over to my direction and he smirked when he saw me looking right back at him. I couldn't help it though, I couldn't escape his forest colored eyes. The feeling of love that was once there was now filled with hatred and possibly revenge.

"Do you want some?" Noah, the small boy who had previously tried to hand me back my knife asked sticking out a small piece of chicken out. No one was around to see so I nodded smiling and tried to bend down. He giggled when I opened my mouth and he feed me his last piece of chicken.

Pan got up and instructed the boys to go to sleep because they would be having a very exciting day tomorrow. My anxiety rose as I knew what he was talking about. The fire had shrunken and now it was just me, the tree and a few boys who were cleaning up.

"Thank you" I thanked him and saw him run back to a group of boys around his age who began teasing him. I smiled and when I went to turn my head back another face was coming towards me.

"What are you doing here?" Felix hissed pulling his hood over his head. The place they had placed me at was pretty dark so I didn't understand why he needed to cover his identity up.

"A book bought me here" I replied looking up into his sorry eyes. I gasped as I saw something different about his face. A large scar trailed down his right eye and to his cheek.

"Felix what happened" I exclaimed in a whisper not wanting anyone to tell on us.

"Nothing, but your not safe here Melina" he says coming closer and unraveling the chained that had some dried blood on them due to my bleeding wrists.

"Here. Run Melina. If your lucky enough you might run into the Indians and they might let you in" he handed me my knife and a small bag that contained food. I took it from him and placed on his cloak that he had taken off.

"Won't you get hurt Felix?" I didn't want him risking his life for mine. Pans true colors had just come out to me and I don't want to see anyone else injured.

"Just go, I'll see what I can do about it" he commanded. Before he left I grabbed him and gave him a another hug. I could tell he became less tense once he hugged back.

"Glad to have you back Meli, sorry about your head" he smiled and walked into a big tent that was surrounded by other tents.

I've never seen an Indian before except for tiger Lily who had made a special appearance during our feast the day before we had left 5 years ago.

If she still remembers me would she take me in? I don't think so after hearing how strict their chief can be. My necklace was now permanently chained to me so that I couldn't use my powers.

Pan's clever knowing what my next moves would be. So this time it wouldn't be an exception. And if he does find out that Felix was to blame for this he might kill him. But their best friends right? So maybe he'll forgive him and than punish me instead.

The only way to get out of here is by a magic bean that my father would always have when visiting this place. Too bad that magic beans are now a rare thing to find and my father had already wasted all of his.

The only other way is magic, but I can't do that. The last way is to get Pans permission. Mission impossible I thought knowing he would kill me if I had asked him.

Than convince him. Yes! That was it, all I had to do was play his game and win. I would see my family again and take Felix with me. I stopped running think back my plan on what I was going to do.

If Pan wants me to play his demonic games than I'll do it for a chance to get my life back. I start running again except this time the opposite direction and back to the camp.

I dropped my materials and began reviving the fire that was in the middle of the camp. I sat on a tree log and ate the food Felix had packed me for my 'escape'.

I'll find a way out, even if it will take me forever. Just anything to get of this island. Funny how a few days ago I wanted to stop everything and come back here to have a 'good' time before I become an adult.

That night I stayed up because I wasn't sure I wanted to have another nightmare and was too busy taking notes for the days to were to come.
