I inhaled a sharp breath realizing I have just been caught. Looking around to find another way out quick I go to the corner to find an opening. The book was now placed in the inside of my belt and was hiding behind my shirt. I was being held back when I tried to walk further away.

The collar of my shirt was pulled back and I had slammed into something hard from behind. I was turned around to come face to face with Pan. His face looked more than mad, he probably was thinking of ways to end my life. No scratch that, his glare could even kill me.

"What are you doing here?" He spat grabbing a fistful of my shirt. His breathed fanned over my face as I stood there speechless.

"I g-got bored I guess?" I expressed questionably. That was so lame. What kind of excuse was that Melina? Of course he saw through my lie and he let me go.

"And what's that your hiding?" He eyed at me and looked at the oblivious bump that was showing around my stomach area.

"Nothing. I should get going back to the treehouse" I babbled out moving to the entrance of the kitchen.

"Melina, what are you hiding from me?" He asked once more wanting to know what I was doing before he got here.

"I told you nothing. Why do you have to make a girl feel so uncomfortable like that?" I exclaimed fast walking my way out of there.

I gasped as the cold air had hit my bare skin when Pan lifted my shirt up slightly. He reached out for the book and took it in his hands. His fingers lightly grazed on my skin making my knees feel weak. Wait...

"Well why do you want a book about the island? Hmm" he closed the gap between us and held onto the book behind his back while going on his tiptoe making him taller than he was.

"I was curious about how much had changed. Father never let gave me the chance to read books like that" I replied biting the inside of my check giving him a small smile hoping to win him over with the lie.

He raised his eyebrow and thought about what I had just told him. He stood back to normal and shoved the book up my chest.

"Well it's yours now, but we'll still need to punish you for intruding into my home" I tilted my head grabbing the book and groaned at the thought of being another human target.

"Hang me upside down if you'd like or whatever" I muttered joking of course, I mean it did look fun when father did it to a commoner. Pan smirked at me and bowed his head slightly.

"What was that darling?" Oh how I wanted to slap that grin off his face. He had heard me alright and now he was just doing it to aggravate me.

"Geez. You heard me" I scoffed crossing my arms and going outside where only a couple do the lost boys were walking around. Since the tent was at the very end not many could hear our argument or know I was here.

"Oh this is going to be fun" Pan laughed grabbing onto my wrist and pulling towards the fire that had been started.

And now here I was. My moon colored hair was hanging in front of my eyes as I was being lowered down slowly until they stopped and tied the rope. The boys were standing upside down from my view and Pan was in the center of it all.

I furrowed my eyebrows in annoyance and crossed my arms. The boys laughed and hollered at their prey hanging upside form the largest tree there was in camp.

My head hurt due to the blood that had made its way down my body. My legs were tied together so when I tried to move around it would look like I was a fish out of water.

"You're making it too easy for me Melina" Pan walked up, pushing off the hair that had covered my angered expression. Felix face palmed shaking his head not wanting to know what I had done.

I giggled when I saw Pans face since I was upside down, his mouth was shaped into a frown rather than the smile he had on.

"Why are laughing?" Pan said sternly his mood changing in a fast matter.

"Nothing" I coughed turning back to my serious mood I was in before my imagination rudely interrupted me.

The lost boys were told to return to their activities leaving me alone hanging from the tree. I lifted my head up to stop from passing out. I huffed seeing the boys talking and some still enjoying the view.

"Are you okay?" I looked around to see Noah tilting his head.

"I'm good" I reassured him giving him a smile. He smiled back and began starting a conversation with me. Even though talking was hurting my head I still spoke to make him feel comfortable.

"Noah go away" Felix ordered placing his cub on his right shoulder. Noah waved bye and ran away so that now Felix had took his place.

"What did you do now?"

"I was just joking. I never wanted this!" I shrieked letting my arms hang out instead of crossing them. I must look like an actual idiot now in this position.

"I would help you down, but I wouldn't want to be next" Felix chuckled heading towards his leader who was looking at us the whole time. I stuck my tongue out when we both made eye contact. Pan rolled his eyes and with his magic he turned me the opposite way so that the tree was the only thing in sight.

"You're making this too easy Melina" I repeated in a high pitched voice shaking around.

"God dammit, can't you let me down already. I feel like this tree is also mocking me" I received no answer and went to go grab the rope on my feet, but my arms were too short to even hold onto it. I gave up and let my hair and arms both dangle on my sides.
