I cried harder into his shirt repeating the same question over and over in my head.

"Shhh, it's okay Melina" he rubbed his hand in the same pattern of a circle on my back and securely wrapped his other around my waist. My body shook slightly under his from me sobbing. I wrapped my arms around his waist not realizing my actions, also not realizing how tense he had become.

"Why?" I hiccuped closing my eyes breathing in and out after Pan calming me down from my sobs. The candle lit up the tent when the fire outside was put out and the atmosphere was silent after the lost boys called it a night.

"I'm sorry you had to find out like this" he whispered hugging me tighter to him. I buried my head into his chest trying to stop more tears from spilling.

"Why didn't he just tell me?" I asked pulling away wiping my tears. Pan made eye contact with me and we stayed like this for a couple more seconds.

"I don't know Melina" he reassured me. He looked down too like he was contemplating something in his head.

"Go to bed now, were going hunting tomorrow morning" Pan gave me back the book and decided to walk me out to the tree house. Something unexpected happened though. Once he stepped out his tent he became something else. The moonlight reflected in his nice clear skin now showing a serious expression.

The sympathetic and hurt frown had disappeared. He became the Pan I first met with warm open arms, but than turned into the Pan I deeply disliked.

"It's rude to stare" I still stared at him for another few seconds. I turned back and rubbed my nose with the sleeve of my arm while sniffling.

"Did you know that you're bipolar" I told him playing with my hair trailing behind him. I was still too upset about what I discovered I didn't get to hear his response.

"Good night" was all I got after arriving at the treehouse. Walking past him, I climbed up the treehouse to see that some furniture was added including a new bed. I looked at the window to thank him, but he had left.

I pulled the covers over me and after a while of moving around my thoughts came to a stop.

A navy blue shirt with brown trousers sat neatly on top of the night stand in the corner. I changed fast from my old dirty clothes and jumped out the treehouse. My boots crunched the leaves and twigs under me which caught the attention of the body once I entered.

Everyone was equipped with different weapons and materials for today's hunt. My stomach growled from the fact that I haven't eaten anything for more than 24 hours. I stayed silent on the log I had claimed near the fire.

"Here, I thought you'd like some" Felix scared me when he had suddenly appeared from behind holding a plate with a piece of meat and fruit. I thanked him and began eating.

"What?" I said with my mouth full seeing Felix looking at me in amusement.

"I guess it's weird seeing you all grown up" he shrugged laughing at himself for some odd reason. I rolled my eyes and continued to devour the breakfast.

"Where's that mutt of yours anyways" he took a seat next to me. I had choked on a grape when I was reminded of Karma. How is Karma? I hope he's alright.

"Karma's back home" I coughed out losing my appetite from all the worry that had rushed into me. Felix seemed to get the memo about how I was feeling.

"He was really big last time I saw him" I nodded smiling at the times Karma would tackle me or would give me rides on his back when I was smaller.

"If you thought he couldn't get any bigger, well your wrong" I informed him. Felix got up and soon gathered with another forming group. We were going hunting now, finally.

Pan whistled and guided the group into the forest. The other half stayed in the camp since they seems to be a little smaller to go hunting. I rushed over unprepared to what was coming.

"Melina come up here" I froze hearing my name from the front. The boys that were in front of me had let me walk by to reach Pan and Felix. Pan was holding a bow and a quiver with arrows filling it up.

"Today we'll be playing hide and seek!" Pan shouted receiving some cheers from the crowd. The boys were looking at me with hunger in their eyes making me realize I was going to be their prey once again.

"Melina here will have five minutes to run and hide" He shoved me in front of the group and gave me the bow and arrows.

"Boys pair up with a partner. The first group to find and hunt down Melina will win!" He said louder and with more excitement.

"What" I muttered and widened my eyes at the boys who were already partnered up and ready for their hunt.

"Five minutes starts now" Pan whispered in my ear. I shivered under his touch and ran from them. The quiver hit my back while jumping back and forth.

"Great, great, great. Just great" I gritted between my teeth. As I was running I made sure to run in circles at least twice around different trees before finding a spot in between two trees.

I climbed up and messed up my footprints with my bow so that they wouldn't be able to track me easily. By now it must have been passed five minutes. Now it was just a waiting game to see who would win. Me or them.
