If wishes were horses
Wise men wouldn't need to ride
If not for natural forces
Only wise men would have died
As a stream courses
Through the countryside
So life must flowThrough deep and shallow ponds
May ride the noblest of steeds
Of these wise men are not fond
Their warning the horses won't heed
Deafened by the bonds
Of their insignificant needs
So life must goThe cavalry of man
May send some apart
But to those who clasp hands
Sunset is but a start
As only wise men understand
Death is not for the faint of heart
So life must end
