I rolled out of bed, dragged myself to the window, and pulled back the mint green curtains that were mounted on my wall. There they were, my best friends Addy, and Kensie waiting for me to come outside and join their fun. No different than any other Saturday morning. I guess I should probably introduce myself. Well, I'm 15 years old, and I have light hazel eyes. My name is Madison, but I go by Maddi. Anyway, I'm going outside to see McKenzie, or Kenzie as I call her. And Addison, or Addy . I trudge over to my mirror, and asses my reflection.

'Wow, more hideous than I expected..' I begin by taking a brush to the wild, dark brown mane surrounding my head until my hair is tamed. I spot a half-empty tube of waterproof mascara and apply a thin layer to my hazel eyes. Nothing more. The clock ticked down as I began to rush, pulling on some shorts and forming an outfit with a pink crop top and a white tank top underneath. I run downstairs to slip one my white vans.

"Bye mom, and other mom! See you soon!" I call, just before I shut the door. I stepped out into the usual surroundings; boys practicing cheer skills, girls perfecting their football technique, and my friends sitting there being blobs on my driveway. "Hey Addy, Kenzie." I nod at them both "So... what did I miss?" I ask excitedly.
"Nothing, really" Kenzie replied. "Anyone have any news?" When silence began to take over our conversation, I started to speak up. "I'm going to-"

"I got a girlfriend yesterday!" Kenzie pretty much screamed. Addy spoke up after her.

"I'm trying out for the football team, and my brother is doing cheer now, so he'll be there to embarrass me at all of my games." Addy scorned. This was news to me, too; The girl never liked to speak.

"As I was saying," I began again, nudging  Kenzie, indicating that she interrupted me. "my uncle Phil is getting married to this guy named John or something tomorrow, and I'm the flower girl. " I hesitantly shared.

"Woah, Maddi the flower girl, huh?" Kenzie questioned "Wait, I could actually see that on a poster... Maddi, flower girl of the year!" She envisioned it, motioning the words with her hands. "I'd totally buy that" We all chuckled.

After what felt like hours, Our fun came to an end after our scrimmage basketball game.

"Alright guys, Sorry to break it to you but, I've really gotta go." Kenzie huffed,

"So do I" said Add,  after chugging down a large bit of water. And with that, my friends left. I should probably get inside, I don't want to be a tired flower girl for tomorrow.

Sorry for this short first chapter! This is my first story so... yeah. This story will get much better, I promise!
