Ending the call with my mom, I feel guilty. I made a selfish choice and I'm now sticking with that selfish choice. But having to tell my mom my selfish choice, was hard. She is disappointed, upset...but I also know that she understands my reason for delaying coming home just that little bit longer. Maci has now dragged her sorry and addicted ass back home to Mom, but that isn't enough for me to change my plans again. I know mom wants me home, sooner rather than later, but I need to do something for myself, first. Just as my mom is disappointed and upset, my record company are furious, but what are they going to do? Fire me? No, I don't think so. They do amazingly well out of me, and I'm usually pretty accommodating to all that they ask of me—but on this, I'm standing my ground.
So now that I've done all that I needed to do today, and pissed off many people along the way, I'm now hot-footing it to Cam's hotel room. He has been doing his best to avoid me. I don't know whether that is wisely or foolishly avoiding me, but enough is enough. He has been conveniently keeping himself extremely busy today, but using my pop star smile, I asked reception to text me the moment that he arrived back to The Hyde. He's been in his room for about half an hour now, so I think it's really time that I have my little chat with him. With two firm knocks to his door, Jules is the one to open it. "Hey." He casually greets me as he steps aside to let me in. "Cam's just on the phone." He casually then says.
Scanning the room, he's nowhere in sight. "Where is he?" I look out to the outside balcony, wondering if he's out there.
"In his bedroom." Jules gestures with his eyes, momentarily taking them away from his mobile phone and the text message that he's currently reading.
Walking towards Cam's slightly ajar door, I hear him happily talking with someone. "Not yet, though I should be." He then laughs, a laugh that is both flirtatious and masculine. "Are you chopping or killing something?" I have no clue what he is actually talking about, but he obviously seems to be enjoying the reply of whoever happens to be on the end of the line; I can tell, because I'm quietly spying on the smile that is wrapped so happily around the lower half of his face. "Who am I to interrupt Clara Thorn from eating her chicken, cucumber and mayo wrap?"
The smile and the flirtatious laugh now makes clear and total sense to me; furious clear and total sense. Without thinking, I just react. "Is that Clara?" Now angrily stepping right into the privacy of his bedroom, I glare across at Cam, wanting him to confirm to me that he's on the phone to my Clara.
"Yeah, it is." Cam is cooler than cool. I honestly just want to slam dunk his big balls down his tiny fucking throat. "Why, do you want a word?" He so casually asks.
He knows I can't speak to Clara right now. I'm too irrationally angry to say a single word to her. Cam knows that, so he's bravely using it against me. Bad move Cameron Carter, a real bad move. Are what my twisted thoughts so heinously think. "No." Is what I eventually say through a jaw that is painfully clenched with such furious tension. Choosing to remove myself from his bedroom before Clara hears anymore of my insane jealousy, I quickly make my exit. Once back in the lounge area, I walk right up to Jules who is still fiddling about on his phone. "Listen, I need to speak with Cameron...alone."
Jules looks up, about to ask why but knows not to even bother. "Right, okay...see ya later, then." He starts getting himself into gear, reluctantly so. "Is everything alright, dude?" Comes his warily asked question.
"It will be." My eyes don't deviate away from Cameron's bedroom door, willing him to walk right out of it so I can sort this shit out with him, once and for all.
Jules grabs my shoulder, giving it a friendly little squeeze. "I'm gonna head back to your suite." He quietly tells me, releasing his amiable grasp on my shoulder.
