I spring up from my bed. It was all just dream. A really bad dream. I know most people would think that I'm weak for being startled by a dream that wasn't that bad. But for me I can't stand it when people overpower me.

My whole life even before I could speak people had feared my name. The name I had for so long. The name that I had since the day I was born The reaper. I've always had power in the criminal world. So when someone overpowers me I feel weak. I feel like all my hard work was for nothing.

Luckily no one is truly stupid enough to try and overpower me.

My phone rings cutting me out of my thoughts. "Hello" my groggy voice rang throughout my room.

"Ruby would you mind if I come over. I need a place to stay for a little." Cassy sounded upset. I glanced at the clock. It read 1:26 am.

I don't even ask why I just tell her yes and hang up. I already know why she needs to come over. Cassy has a rough life and a rough past. She was an accident her parents didn't want her. They were going to put hcurtainsor adoption but they decided to use her. They abused her. Her own father raped her.

Her parents did drugs, they killed, they were always high off of something. Eventually they were caught and sent to prison for life in many charges. That was when Cassy was 6. From there her aunt who didn't totally hate her decided to take her in.

Her aunt record isn't all that good. So she had a friend of her's hack into the system and change her records so she could claim Cassy. Cassy's aunt is a drug addict.

Her aunt never hurt her. But her aunt's boyfriend did. Her aunt could never find anything about it. For as long as I've know Cassy  which was since she was 7, she would come over my house to stay over. She was always getting into fights with her aunt and her boyfriend. The results would always be that getting would kick her out of the house.

The door bell rings. I jump out of bed and run the long distance to the door. Cassy stands there looking down. I step aside and pull her in. Cassy had been doing this for so long that she has her own room here. I walk her to her room.

The room had brown walls with one size being black. Her bed sat against the marble wall. There was a stand that was embedded in the wall. Her flat screen TV lay across from the bed. (Picture of room above).

Cassy went to lay down. "Good night Ruby," she mumbled.

"Good night."

I awoke to the sun shining in my face. I must have forgotten to close my curtains. My mom walks in. "Get up you not going to school. You grandmother decided to make a last minute call and wants us to visit." My mither hiss. My mother is a nice person but let's just say that ever since my dad left she hasn't gotten along well with her family.

I get up and walk into the bathroom. After taking a shower I put on black sweatpants and a pink hoodie crop top. Then I brush my teeth, clean my face and curl my hair. The little curls lay down. My natural part causes a bang on the right side of my face. Then I put on red lipstick.

Quickly I packed some clothes enough to last a week. Then I slip on some Adidas. I run downstairs and see all the girls started ding there. Of course my mother wasn't going to forget the group.

About 6 hours later we land in Maryland. We drive about 40 minutes before we come to a giant mansion. My grandparents home. The drive of our limo opens the right side door. I step out and walk after my mother. She knocks on the door. A woman in her late 50's opens the door. "My precious daughter. It's been so long," my grandmother says.

My mom fakes a smile "Hi mother," she says through gritted teeth. My grandmother notice me. Her face automatically gives it away. Here comes the scolding.

"And what is my granddaughter doing wearing an outfit like that?" My grandmother has never been there one to like the way I dress. To her I should wear dresses and act like a princess.

"Hello to you too grandma" I say sweetly. "I'm sure you remember my friends right?"

"Of course I do," she squeaks. She let's us in and the moment I walk in I regret it.
