Ricci's POV

Dahan-dahan akong dumilat, waking up from such a peaceful sleep. Tinignan ko yung paligid ko. Oo nga pala, I slept at Chienna's place. Umupo ako at sumandal sa headboard ng kama at napangiti. I don't know what's with me. During our dinner last night, lalo ako naging interested na makilala siya. Kaya sobrang thankful ko kay Kuya Prince sa naisip niya. I would be able to spend time with getting to know her more. Actually, feeling ko naman close na kami. Hindi naman siya yung tipo ng babae na mahirap pakisamahan.

I grabbed my phone from the bedside table and saw 3 messages from Prince, a message from Brent and one from my dad. I read Prince's messages first.

Cci, training has been moved to 6 pm instead of 7.

7:30 am
What time ka babalik dito sa dorm? Coach is looking for you.

8:03 am
Call me when you're up.

I looked at the time and saw na 9:08 na pala. I quickly typed a reply.

Still here at Chie's place. Kakagising lang. Hatid ko lang siya sa Adamson tapos balik na ako sa dorm.

I hit send and opened Brent's text.

Goodmorning, bro! I can feel na maganda gising mo. Yun ay kung natulog ka nga. 😜😏 HAHAHAHA. What time ka babalik dito?

Daming alam. Hatid ko lang si Chie sa school, balik na rin ako.

Sunod ko namang binasa yung message ni dad.

Anak, may worship and service tayo on Sunday don't forget. Love you, take care.

After ko replayan si dad, tumayo na ko at inayos yung bed. Habang tinitiklop ko yung comforter, lumabas si Chienna from the bathroom wearing her uniform. She was drying her long hair gamit yung towel niya.

She looked at me and smiled.

"Good morning, Ricci."

"Goodmorning! Did you sleep well last night?"

"One of the best sleeps I've had. Ikaw ba?"

She smiled meaningfully. Or ako lang ba yung naglalagay ng meaning? Ngumiti rin ako at sinagot siya.

"Same."

She cleared her throat and looked away.

What a cutie.

"Do you mind if I use your bathroom?"

"No, go ahead. May extra new toiletries din dun. Get anything you need."

"Thanks."

Naglakad na ko papunta sa bathroom. I closed the door and removed my shirt to freshen up. Binuksan ko yung drawer ang got myself a toothbrush. After brushing my teeth and washing my face, I grabbed my shirt tapos lumabas ako ng bathroom to borrow a towel.

"Chienna, can I borrow a towel?"
