Normal POV
Batman and the Joker were riding back home in the batmobile. Batman had put the bat motorcycle in the trunk area of the batmobile. They were just about halfway back to the manor, Joker playing music on the radio trying to find a song he liked and Batman just focused on driving.
Joker's cell phone started ringing in his pocket. He wasn't sure who would be calling him but answered anyway, "Hello?"
"Master Joker, I hope you're on your way home soon. Your assistance is needed." Alfred said on the other line.
"Why are you calling me about it?" Joker wondered.
"Because it's about Lucy. She just got back from school and when I went to greet her she practically ran right past me upstairs to her room and slammed the door shut. Master Richard wasn't sure what was wrong because she wouldn't talk to him either so when he left I knocked on her door to see if she might really need help, but all she said was she needed you. So please be here soon." Alfred explained.
"Oh god, I'll be there. Just please give her space until then. She can be like me when she's upset like that..." Joker hung up the phone and sighed.
"Who called you?" Batman asked.
"Your butler. Lucy is home and she needs me, so get us back as fast as possible. Something bad might've happened to her I don't know.."
"Maybe she needs to hear from both of us." Batman suggested.
"No Bats, just let me handle it if I can."
They finally arrive back home entering through the batcave. Joker ran up into the manor finding Alfred in the living room. Bruce was still in the batcave changing out of his batsuit and into casual clothing. Bruce then ran up also finding Alfred in the living room. Al looked at both of them very worried.
"She won't come down for anything, she only wants Joker. Master Bruce, it's good to see you finally home but you better let him try to talk with her." The butler sighed.
Bruce understood knowing he wasn't around as often as Joker was anymore so he was closer with her than him. Joker immediately ran up and knock on her door.
"Lucy Goosey, it's me. I'm home now."
He heard her unlock the door and she walked back to her bed. Joker walked in and saw she has been crying her eyes out and her pants and bedsheets had some blood on them.
"Lucy, what going on? Did someone hurt you?..." Joker knelt down in front of her.
"I...I don't know what's wrong... I won't stop bleeding and it... it happened during school... I was sent to the office... everyone pointed and laughed at me... they told me I should go home early and called Dick... I feel mood swings and can't stop crying..."
Joker quickly hugged her after hearing enough to calm her down, "Lucy... Did.. Did you start your first period?..."
She looked at him confused, "A period?... I was raised by all men.. Is this normal or something?!?..."
Joker felt embarrassed not sure how to answer, "I... I actually don't know if I have the parenting skills necessary to deal with this... "
Joker stood up and walked to the door, "Your other father is here with me. He's dealt with women issues way better than I ever have before. Give me a second, I'll be right back."
Joker ran down and took Bruce by the hand, "Batsy, I actually need your help... She's having a problem she's never had before..."
"What is it? Did something really bad happen?..." Bruce was worried.
"You'll see when we get up there.."
They both walk back up and into Lucy's bedroom, almost instantly Bruce knew what was wrong.
"Sweetheart... You're having your first period?... "
"Is this something all 10 year old girls have to go through or something?!? Please tell me what is wrong with me..." She burst into more tears.
"Well, sweetie... All girls get their period at different ages, it just depends on when you hit puberty. A period, is when you... You bleed once a month... from... down there... and it lasts almost a week... "
"This is for the rest of my life?!?!?!..." She panicked.
"Sweetheart, I am so sorry. But it's perfectly natural and before I met your father I dated many girls to know what to do to help, alright? It would be best if you took a shower to clean yourself off, and daddy J is going to take your bedsheets and clothes down to the laundry room so Alfred can hopefully get the stains out."
"What are you going to do to help?" Joker asked Bruce.
"I'm going to run to the store to pick up pads and tampons for her. I use to have to do that all the time when I dated women so I know what to get. I'll be back in about 10 to 15 minutes." Bruce walked out of the room to let Alfred know what was going on.
Lucy looked at Joker wiping the tears from her eyes, "Dad, Did you ever have to help my mom with this stuff?..."
Joker felt slight shame but shrugged it away, "No.. Truthfully I was never that good to her like your other father is good with women... but I'm willing to help you as much as I can so let's do what he said and everything will be alright."
She nodded and walked out to go to the bathroom and Joker did as he was told too.
