The Opening Ceremony

It is the year 2020 and it is the 50th anniversary of the hunger games. Many of the once famous celebreties, have fallen and new ones have surfaced. For the 50th, the organizers are using the lesser celebs for the celebrations.

The Opening Ceremony

"Hello and welcome to the 50th Anniversary of the Hunger Games!" exclaimed Mary-Ellen, the new host, "Since this is the 50th Hunger games, we have decided to use celebreties from each district. All the small ones, of course!"

"We'lll twist the rules a bit, for your entertainment," a second host, the famous singer, Chiara, "We will chose celebreties from four categories, Singing, Writing, Comedy and Acting."

"We will also change the rules by picking the celebs right here instead of in front of each district. It will be broadcasted through all the speakers we have set up," Mary-Ellen, explained, "Now, lets pick the first two competitors for Singing!"

Chiara put her hand in a huge clay bowl and drew out a piece of paper.

Unfolding it with one hand she shouted into her microphone, "One Direction!"

Boos and cheers came from the crowd. Quickly scanning the people, Chiara noticed some were crying. Mary-Ellen dipped her hand in and pulled out another bit of paper.

"Justin Beiber!" Mary-Ellen read, cheers drowning put the small number of boos, "Now onto Writing!"

Chiara fished out two folded peices of paper and handed one to her co-host. Chiara opened hers and nearly dropped her Jaw in shock. It was Scarlett Dragone, the pen name of one of her friends from Grammar.

She gulped and read expressionlessly, "Scarlett Dragone."

Many boos arouse from the crowds. Scarlett was a famous child writer but refused to leave her district for a better/safer place.

"Lila Frost!" Mary-Ellen exclaimed, more boos.

"Now onto Comedy!" Chiara said, recomposing herself.

Mary-Ellen plucked out two names near the top of yet another bowl. Handing one to the singer, she opened hers and read, "Ryan Higa!"

Gasps erupted from the crowed followed by many boos.

"CutiePie Marzia!" Chiara read. Marzia had started a comedy channel on YouTube and it had become very successsful.

"Finally, onto Acting!" Chiara announced, drawing out a name, "Sha-Sha from the new disney movie-'A Real Princess!' a very good film, I may add!"

Mary-Ellen stuck her hand into the bowl and swirled the names around. Tension hung heavily and eventually she pulled out a paper.

"The final competitor is," Mary-Ellen paused, "Daniel Radcliffe!"
