THE LONG AWAITED UPDATE!

So, I made this extra long as an apology for not updating in a while, so enjoy!

Chapter 6

Betrayal

Chiara's p.o.v

I crouched down low behind a bush, pulling an arrow tight in my bow. I shivered, the cold air brushing against my face. I hoped Aven was okay. She was so sweet and innocent, too young to 'die'.

No. Nobody is too young to die. I wonder if being a flame gave me other powers other than immortality. That would help me out a lot...

Yasmin's p.o.v

I hid in the cover of a tree, studying my next victims. This game was fun. How unfortunate that I was too good at it. It will be all over soon and I won't even get a prize. It's fun at the very leats.

Target one, dropped down from her branch and I tensed. Should I attack now? No, I need both of them on the ground so I can attack both at once. That way, both of them will be out of my way at once. I waited patiently, stooping behind a bush. Why won't they hurry up?

After waiting what seemed like a long ten minutes I grew bored. I sighed and threw one of my daggers, hitting target two in the shoulder. Damn. I over estimated. It should have hit her chest. Two fell out the tree and Target one caught sight of me and started shooting small metal balls at me.

I closely dodged a few and rolled out of sight. That ammo may be smal, just at full speed they can be really deadly. Keeping hidden, I made my way to where the body had fallen and retrieved my dagger.

So they were disobeying the rules, now were they? We can't have that. That isn't fair. They would have to be taught a lesson...

Olivia's p.o.v

I can't believe she did that to Lau. She just came out of no where! And Lau went, just like that. I'm going to kill her, even if it's the last thing I can do.

Killing someone is wrong. I know that, but Laur was everything to me. She was part of me. With her gone, I can't go on. She was the only thing that kept me alive.

I surveyed the surroundings, looking for something- anything that could give her position away. I held my breath, listening. There! I aimed my slingshot and released a shot. It gave a thud. A hit?

Yasmin's p.o.v

I winced as the ball came into contact with my shoulder. It embedded itself quite deep in my arm, not good. I pried it carefully out, ripping a bit of my shirt off as I held my daggers in my mouth and made a run for it. When I was at a safe distance I gritted my teeth, she was more trouble than what's worth it. I'll go after her later.

I tied the piece of shirt tightly around my wound. Hopefully, that should hold out until after the games...

Tia's p.o.v

After snooping about, I found out that three people were already down, all taken out by Yasmin. She was strong, strong yet not smart. Everyone is sure to be watching there backs extra carefully once they find out. I, on the other hand, am strong, smart and am destined for success.

I had already won Tommy's heart and we are allies. Until I turn on him of course. Why should I be on anyone's side after forced to enter this bitter tournament?

I walked back to where I had asked Tommy to stand guard and called him to discuss more tactics.

"We should climb higher, but make sure we are hidden. Otherwise she'll thro-" I was cut off by Tommy.
