Stir It Up

Ryan's p.o.v

I saw someone coming closer. As he came into focus I noticed it was Justin. And his spear was dripping blood. His eyes seemed dead but full of colour. I shivered.

"Your going to have to die!" he whispered.

"Look mate," I said, waving my hands, "I ain't looking for no fights!"

Ignoring me he spoke again, "How about we have a sing off?"

"Hey! Please, can't we just work something out?" I said, worrying.

"It's final!" he announced, "Loser dies!"

I bit my lip, I don't want to die. Not here, not ever.

"Fine!" I sighed.

'I will never say never,

I will fight 'til forever!'

"Beat that!" he said.

Smirking, I remembered my country version of his song,

'I will never say never,

I will fight 'til forever.'

Justin snarled and said, "You lose!"

I gripped my double ended spear and stabbed his stomach. He coughed violently, spitting blood.

"I'm not going down that easy!" he roared.

He lunged at me with his spear. I swiftly back flipped out the way. Justin's eyes were now filled with anger. Scary. I hit him with my double-ended spear and it pierced his side. Roaring with pain, fury and anger he lunged again and hit me just above the heart. I fell to the ground and uttered my final pun.

"This is pointless!" I whispered, a tear rolling down my cheek.

My pointer finger curled back into a fist. I closed my eyes. Huh. My last pun wasn't even that good.

Justin's p.o.v

I heard Ryan's last joke and giggled, the raging fire of fear melting away. I accepted I was going to die. I fell to the floor, gravity feeling much heavier than usual.

"I will never say never," I sang softly.

It all went black...

Lila's p.o.v

We heard a rustle from the bushes. Expecting another person to burst through we armed ourselves. Scarlett was ok now, I stopped the bleeding with a bandage made from a strip of my shirt. Instead of the person, it was an animal. An animal with a lot of teeth.

It jumped up to us and Scarlett and I quickly dodged. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed Scarlett winced as she landed on another branch. Scarlett grabbed her ninja star and threw them at the creatures joints it fell with a deafening 'SKRAX!'. Scarlett swung herself to the floor and reclaimed her weapons. I could tell that whoever had organized this game was trying to stir it up.
