I clutched the owl pendant, panting. They were coming for me, I could hear them right behind the door. If I gave up, they'd kill me. That's why I wasn't going to give up. Taking in a deep breath, I chanted. With luck, it should distract them for while.
"Fly free into thy sky,
It is thee that call to thy,
Lend thy power of soul,
Turn thee eyes black as coal."
My eyes burned and watered, but I held out. An exact copy of me appeared in front of me. There was only one difference though, her eyes were black as coal. If they saw her eyes, they'd know they were fooled.
"Please, can you lie down on the floor, eyes closed?" I whispered urgently.
The clone nodded and did as instructed. A bang on the door filled me with anxiety and I summoned more power. My eyes filled with tears as I realised it was too late. I had spent too much power on summoning the clone. They were going to take me away...

Mia's p.o.v
"Welcome to another Hunger Games!" I roared, "I am the Mia Godrin, as your host today."
The crowd cheered and I smirked. They were lucky it was another celebrity Hunger Games- most people in the crowd aren't celebs. Following the events of last year, they removed that host's name from the bowls. That's fine with me.
"For music," I shouted into my microphone.
Pausing I grabbed two slips from the music category.
"Sami and Lalay!" I cheered.
I plastered a big smile across my face, but inside, I was scowling. Two of my biggest rivals in the Hunger Games? If they both died I would be relieved, yet if they were to win, my career was totally over. I would be stamped out- exterminated.
Twirling over to the next bowl, I grinned. Death and destruction just filled me with a queer feeling- something sweet yet depressing. Grabbing a fistful of slips from the YouTube bowl, I threw them into the air. Delicately catching the two slowest to fall to the ground, I read out the names.
"Joe Sugg and Caspar Lee!" I screamed to the crowd.
The audience let out a huge roar. I smiled again, almost psychotically. Prancing over to the next bowl I sang to myself in a quiet voice. It was an ancient song from years ago, yet remained my favourite.
"Oranges and lemons,
Say the bells of St. Clement's.
You owe me five farthings,
Say the bells of St. Martin's.
When will you pay me?
Say the bells of Old Bailey.
When I grow rich,
Say the bells of Shoreditch.
When will that be?
Say the bells of Stepney.
I do not know,
Says the great bell of Bow.
Here comes a candle to light you to bed,
And here comes a chopper to chop off your head!"
I snatched two other slips from the 'Writing' bowl:
"Afa Roe and Fila Demos, for the Writing category!" I shouted.
Afa had written many best selling books in the past year, and was one of the most loved authors in the world. Fila was a complete opposite of her. Fila, unlike Afa, had hardly any fame. His books were appreciated by a precious few.
"Actors now!" I beamed, pulling out two slips from the bottom of the bowl, "Jay and Selso Decophan!"
Jay Xelo was usually just referred to as Jay. He had a younger sister. When I say 'had', I mean that she went missing a few days ago. Selso's a popular voice actor and has voiced many anime and cartoons over the years.
"For the final category, Comedy," I announced, pulling two pieces of paper from the bottom of the bowl, "Cerin Deloté and Sina Geroko."
Stand up comedians had begun to disappear over the years. Many comedians now have hardly any attention. Most of them are comedians on YouTube rather than hosting their own shows.
I watched, wearily, as the crowd cheered one last time before scattering into the night. I turned on my heels and walked offstage into the car waiting.
"Have they caught her yet?" I asked the driver as we pulled out of the private parking space.
His face stayed the same, as always, but somehow he had the feeling of a frown.
"Yes, Miss Addie," he reported, "They have taken her to the special quarters. Is that were we are headed, may I ask?"
I nodded, shaking my hair free and pulling off the fake lashes.
"Yes," I smiled, "I must greet our new guest."
